MODERN HOME SPOT OF PERIL, FIGURES SHOW ‘Trivial’ Accidents, When Considered in Aggregate, Have Enormous Toll. WASHINGTON, Nov. 21.—Some inventor should consecrate himself to the job of making American homes safe for life and limb, Luis 1. Dublin, insurance statistician, told a section of the White House child protection conference here. "We think of home as the safest place in the world, but instead it’s the most hazardous,” Dublin advised experts who are seeking to eradicate causes of child dependency and neglect. "There are stcpladders that collapse, shaky chairs used for reaching, improvised and crude implements. gas and fire,” Dublin enumerated. "These seem trivial, but in the aggregate there's nothing trivial about them.” “We need a safety engineer for the home as well as industry,” Dublin urged. “During the la?t fifteen or twenty years we've made it unprofitable for industry to have hazards and the number of fatalities has decreased.” WINS INSURANCE PLEA Federal Court Awards 57,590 to Disabled Indiana Veteran.
