Trifles May Be Cause of Lovers’ Rift BV MARTHA LEE Whenever two people who have given their friends occasion to believe they are In love, start to have trouble, every one begins looking about for some mortal wrong, some big injury one has Inflicted upon the other. Usually the real cause is something so insignificant it is annoying to a point of distraction. Pear Miss Lee—l have been married two Tears. I am deeply In love with mv husband. As far as 1 am concerned other men are so many lamp posts or other inanimate objects on the scene. But Xam utterly miserable. I suppose it It because I am terribly Jealous. But my husband does something that keeps me unhappy ail the time. No matter where we iro. he has a habit of eyeing all the women he sees. It makes me feel no humiliated I can't tell you. Yet how can I tell him? How can I describe to him the way this affects me. How can I explain to him the wav he looks? Something must be done, because besides being miserable I am losing some of the respect and love I have for him. UNHAPPY. Are you sure you are not overworking a Jealous imagination? Perhaps this sort of thing occurred once or twice and since then you have watched for it until you imagine you see it always. I am not minimizing your problem. Real or imagined it is serious to you. You must study your husband to discover the best way of approaching him on the subject. At least give him a chance to see what he is doing to your happiness and future welfare. YEARS ago oily hair was Just a woman's bad luck, and her more fortunate sisters pitied her those ugly, scolding locks that kept stringing down the back of her neck. Today oily hair is just a womans own fault. Scientific care, diet and general health upbuilding will do wonders for the flattest and most unpleasing head of locks. First of all, if your hair is unnaturally oily, the best thing you can do Is to have a few professional treatments at a reputable salon where they specialize in hair knowledge. One of the primary causes for oily hair is too frequent shampoos, contradictory as that may seem. a a a CONSTANT washing dries the scalp out and in its natural reaction to such a state, it exudes too much oil. Therefore, excellent care and not shampoo is what your head needs. Three things should be done twice daily, morning and night, until you get your hair started on the road to health and fluffiness. First of all, an excellent tonic; second, massage; third, brushing the hair up from the head and giving it a dry shampoo. The tonic you choose should be the most reliable one you can buy, j one designed primarly for an oily I scalp and yet one that does not contain too high a percentage of alcohol. Apply the tonic all over the head, by parting the hair and patting it up and down the parts with pads of cotton dipped into the tonic. a a a MASSAGE comes next, and massage is a very important procedure for a sick scalp. Use the tips of your fingers only and begin at the back of the neck where circulation starts. When the back of your head begins to glow with warmth and vitality, then circulate over the rest of your head, always in a rotary

motion, trying to loosen the scalp until it can be moved very easily. When you start your treatment for oily hair, do not brush too vigorously at first. Use about twentyfive strokes, lifting the hair from the scalp and wiping the brush several times on a turkish towel. Your scalp needs food, exercise and cleaning. These three processes will give it all of them. Don’t expect fluffy hair the first morning you begin. Don't expect it the first week. But a good solid month of conscientious daily care will show. Next: Shampoos.
