REFINISHING OF HOME ARTICLES IS MADE EASY Beautiful, Lasting Surface Obtained With Use of Lacquer, Enamel. The Perfection Windshield Company, 25 West Pratt street, is the local distributer for two products that if better known to the average householder would answer a lot of problems in interior finish. One of these which is quite familiar is Waterspar lacquer, by which any interior surface can be furnished with amazing ease and speed. In fact, a table lacquered right after breakfast can be used for luncheon. But the chief merit of this lacquer is not claimed to be its speed in drying. It furnishes a lustrous silkline sheen that requires no polish. A mere wiping with a soft cloth will restore all the original beauty, and it is claimed that its soft beauty actually is enhanced by age. The other product is called Banzai enamel. Results in it are less dependent upon skill in application than ordinary enamels, and the permanence of Banzai’s grainless glass-smooth finish, as washable as highly glazed porcelain, is an achievement of paint chemistry. It may be used on wcod, metal, plaster and brick, exterior and interior. Unusual toughness is claimed for it. It is said a strip of tin, properly undercoated and finished with Banzai, may be bant and pounded double without cracking this superior finish. Architects, painters and decorators use it in the highest class of house finishing, and the householder can secure better results in a surface easy to keep clean and soft to the eye.

Use of Ice Preserves Both Food and Health
Artificial Ice and Cold Storage Company’s Main Plant
Highest Quality , Products Sold by Cold Storage and Fuel Company. PURE WATER IS HEALTH BUILDER Few Persons Drink Enough During Cold Weather.
Wjien cold weather comes along persons just naturally seem to try to dry up. They stop drinking enough water for their systems. It is a well recognized fact that most persons in the winter season do not drink enough water to permit the system to function as it should. Where groups are gathered together, as in large offices, this failure actually costs the employer money. His employes become lethargic, lack pep, do not think quick enough. The way to remedy this is to give them a drink supply they will like. Most people do the things they like, and if the people in the office get into the habit of drinking Crystal Spring water they will keep it up through the winter because they like it. An attractive outfit can be rented of the Ostermeyer Paper Company. It consists of a Frigidaire water cooler, a supply of sanitary paper drinking cups, and good deep spring water at deep spring temperature. Tlie company’s offices are at 148 Virginia avenue. Tlie telephone is Ri. 6902. Plenty of good spring water will keep one peppy, help to undo the effects of the confinement of the winter months and actually make dollars and cents for the concern that uses it.
HEATER IS EFFICIENT Motorists Are Advised to Prepare for Winter. In view the recent cold wave, heralding approach of winter, the Perfection Windshield company suggests motorists who have no heaters in their cars would do well to discuss the subject of a Francisco auto heater, which is guaranteed to deliver more heat than any other heater regardless of price, and to renew and purify the air in the car every few minutes, thus avoiding any car sickness or languor. The Perfection company, located at 25 West Pratt street, is the local distributer for this popular heater, which is so powerful that it has been, used successfully on open cars, maintaining a degree of comfort inside the curtains that is noticeable. The heater is very simple to install, does not require the cutting of any parts and supplies only pure air taken right back to the fan. It covers both the intake and exhaust manifold. serving as a hot spot that causes better vaporization of the gasoline in cold w’eather. Old Injury Causes Death Bn United Prexs LAFAYETTE, Ind., Oct, 25.—An injury sustained three years ago when a hayfork penetrated his leg resulted in the death of Riley Chamberlain, 39, White county farmer, at a hospital here. He leaves his widow, brother and two sisters, including Mrs. Maude Sterner, Ft. Wayne. The body was sent to Chalmers for burial Saturday afternoon.
materially has increased in the last few years as more persons realize the necessity of good food to maintain health and promote proper growth. It : has been established definitely that bacteria and contaminated air in an ice box are purified by use of ice as a refrigerant. Settling of bacteria and other noxious elements on the ice as the air is circulating through the ice box is washed away with the water f/wn the melting ice. Meat and vegetables maintain their full food value and weight when preserved with ice and the housewife is not forced to place wet cloths over meat and vegetables to preserve moisture. Wrapping of foods prevents the escape of the bacteria in the circulating air. The Artificial Ice and Cold Storage Company also deals in coal and fuel and handles the best grade of West Virginia, Kentucky, ahd Indiana coals. All coal orders will receive the same personal supervision as the public has learned to expect when dealing with this company. It seldom occurs to users of coal that there are literally hundreds of grades of this fuel and that each one is different from the others in fuel value suitability for domestic use and cleanliness. Formed by Pressure Nature made coal by the process of immense pressure over great beds of vegetation. Sometimes a single operation of the kind covered hundreds of miles. This-is called a vein of coal, and classified by a trade name. ■*> In certain places the coal is clean, comparatively free from sulphur and shale, and ready for use. In other places it Is not worth mining because it is mixed with too much foreign substance. There are many grades in between. Some burn freely to few ashes. Others form clinkers and are hard to handle. Few persons can tell by looking at coal how it will act in the furnace. Large coal consumers can afford expensive tests to discover the best coal for specialized use, but the cost is prohibitive to families. The householder is forced to depend on the character of the dealer. Persons who shop around for the lower price seldom get bargains, for really good coal commands its price. Branch Is Maintained But when they deal with companies as reliable as the Artificial Ice and Cold Storage Company, of which A. C. Goll is manager, they are assured of satisfaction. By following advice of officials of this company the coal consumer is likely to get more heat for the money, jvhich is better than buying more coal and less heat, even at lower prices. It pays to place fuel problems in the hands of a reliable dealer, and, when the best type of coal for the needs is found, to insist on having coal from that dealer. The Artificial Ice and Cold Storage Company’s main office is located at 326 West Ohio street, telephone Li. 6443, and its branch is located at Forty-second street and Monorx railroad, Hu. 3665.
