G, 0, P, TICKET GIVEN PRAISE Speakers Plead Interests of Entire Slate, “Support the President by electing a Republican representative, Republican county and township ''officials and Republican candidates for state senator and representatives’ was the plea of organization speaker Monday night at a series of meet!™?;. Archibald Hall, candidate for Seventh district congressman praised the qualification of his running mates on the county ticket and urged their election. Pointing out that two years ago, this county cast an overwhelming vote for Hoover, Hall asked that they return a Republican to support the president. It was in this same election that Marion county elected Louis Ludlow, Democrat to congress. Plea for e’ection of a Repubican legislative delegation was made over station WKBP by Linton A. Cox. candidate for state senator. He called attention to the reapportioriment question which will arise at the next session and intimated that if a Republican gerrymander is to be accomplished, the Marion county candidates should be elected. Lightning Strikes Aerial /. / 7 Imre Srn l int VINCENNES, Ind., Oct. 22.-Ed McCormick, farmer, is undecided whether the aerial of a radio or lightning rods saved his home from destruction by fire after it was struck by lightning. The bolt, it is believed, struck the aerial first, jumped to a lightning rod and traveled to the ground where it tore a large hole. The radio was not damaged, but a wundow was shattered. RUSSELL EVANS HEADSRED MEN Spencer Man Great Sachem of State Order. Russell H. Evans, Spencer, will head activities of the Indiana Improved Ord£r of Red Men the coming year. He was elevated to the position at the state convention of the order in the Pythian building Tuesday. S. L. Smith*, South Bend, great junior sagamore, and Arch H. Hobbs, Indianapolis, great keeper of records for sixteen years, were reelected. Other officers advanced to higher positions were: Eli G. Lee, Terre Haute, great prophet; W. Irving Pryor, Worthington, greet senior sagamore; John H. Boyd, Franklin, great keeper of wampum, and E. C. Seabrook, New Albany, great trustee. The convention will close today and will be followed by annual meeting of the Indiana Degree of Pocahontas. A committee of the order will work with other fraternal organizations seeking passage of an old age pension law in the next session of the legislature. Martin G. Mock, oldest living past great sachem of Indiana, is among guests at the meeting.

Aged Man Found Dead ATLANTA. Ind., Oct. 22.—Charles E. Carter, 69, was found dead in a chair at his home north of here, a victim of heart disease. The aged man lived alone and apparently he had been dead eighteen hours when he was found by a neighbor. He leaves six children. Orville and Ethel, Chicago; Forest, Los Angeles; Elza, Ft.
