Gity Jewish Group Will Give Dance Fail social season of the Jewish Community Center Association will open with an oki-fashloned barn dance Sunday night, Nov. 2, at the Klrshbaum center. Oct. 18.—The woman who has worn an opera pump all summer, is accustomed to its flattering lines and is going to look for something similar for fall. Asa result, manufacturers are -borrowing the lines of the opera pump for the step-in. strap ahd even for the oxford. The latter model when so designed is termed ’’demi-oxford” and usually is a one or two eyelet type with the throat cut exactly ltke an opera, continuing this lir-e that terminates in the low sadd/e. Adaptations of Opera Pump The low cut throat of the step-in and one-strap types mark them as definite adaptations of the opera pump line. Shoes must be simple, but not plain, is the consensus of authorities in launching the footwear collections for fall. In view of the spectator sports type, casual footwear is being promoted for all daytime occasions. In this category, the built ; up leather heel formerly used only-in welt models and now sponsored by turns simulating welts, is an important feature.
