Al Does Impossible Bv Unit'd Prets CHICAGO, Oct. 6—Al Wilson, movie stirnt flier, again has done the seemingly impossible—this time for no reason except that it was fun and a newspaper writer dared him to try it. “Al’s here,” came the word from Los Angeles Sunday night, signifying the famous stun ter had done what a lot of folks told him he wouldn’t do—flown his “box-kite,” 1911-model, pusher airplane from Chicago to the west coast. During the national air races here late in August, the idea of a distance flight in the old “berry crate,'* as Wilson calls it, was formed, first as a joke, then as a means of proving that pusher planes Could be useful as well as funny. Store Sells Planes B Oct. 6 One of London's leading department stores is -now selling airplanes and parts. The head of the store has remarked: “Flying for sport is so popular in England that the store has found it profitable to establish a permanent airplane department. The price range is from . $2,800 to $4,000. and the ships are of sizes to accommodate from one to ten passengers."
