Street improvement projects, costing more than SBO,OOO, have been started in the last ten days by the city works board. Contracts with engineers call for completion of the work not later than Nov. 1. Principal Job is that of widening and resurfacing East New York street from Randolph to Tuxedo streets. The work will be completed by Nov. 1, and the street will be forty-five feet wide. The contract was let to J. N. Morgan & Son, Inc., on a low bid of $67,901. Other contracts let: Cornelius avenue, from Berkeley road to Forty fourth street. R. M. Bowen Comeanv. $2,040.
