lights of metropolitan theaters unfulfilled. Adif Mae Haner, 13, had danced on the stages of Adrian (Mich.) theaters, but they had lost their charms. She longed to be a great star and win the hearts of the big city audiences, so she picked her costumes and set out. The five motorists who picked her up were Cleveland-bound, so she arrived here Thursday night with 15 cents. A kindly newsboy gave her 40 more and Adif Mae bought a lunch. Late in the evening, a taxicab driver saw a tired little girl with two big suit cases trudging along
the streets. He offered to find her a place to spend the night. A few minutes later, Adif Mae was sound asleep in the policewoman's bureau. , She said her stepfather is owner of two theaters in Adrian, but she wanted her name in bright lights.
