CLOTHES, BREAD, i SHOES, MONEY bandits; loot Pickpockets Get $65 From * Three Victims at State i Fairground. Thieves and bandits gathered Clothing, bread, shoes and money valued at $470 In a series of small robberies Thursday night, according to police reports today. At the state fairground, pickpockets obtained $65 from three persons, according to police information. Those reported robbed were: Mrs. Mary Goodman, 2449 East Thirty-fourth street, sls; Lloyd Pickerell, R. R. E., Box 46, watch, $32; and Ralph Smith, Lafayette, $lB. Held Up by Negro Woman William Mills, 65, of 436 North Holmes avenue, told police he was robbed of $8 by two Negro women at New York and West streets, Thursday night. Theft of clothing valued at S3OO from the auto of A. D. Mawlin, South Bend, while it was parked at Maryland and Illinois streets, Thursday night was reported to police today. Iva Richmond, 26, of R. R. 4, Box 15, told police Negroes slugged him at Merrill and Willard streets Thursday night and obtained sl2. Admit Robbing Bread Boxes Richard Ashman, 20, Brooklyn, Tnd.; Paul Wickersham, 16, of Brooklyn and a boy were arrested by police early today and are said to have confessed too robbing bread boxes in various, parts of the city. Doughnuts, rolls and bread were in the car, police said. The youths are charged with vagrancy. South Capitol avenue, clothing, SSO, and William Cleary, 26. of 1338 South Harding street, sl2. TWO ON MOTORCYCLE INJURED IN COLLISION Tooths in Serious Condition; Driver of Auto Held by Tolice. Two youths were in serious condition today at city hospital after the motorcycle they were, riding collided with an auto at Tenth and Tremont streets Thursday night. Joseph Ruffy, 19, of 929 North Tremont street, suffered a left leg fracture and internal injuries, ar.d Willie Johnson, 19, of 620 South Lynhurst avenue, sustained head and leg wounds. Howard Hallinger, 17, of Speedway City, driver of the car that struck the motorcycle, was arrested on charges of reckless driving and assault and battery. PREPARE FOR PARLEY Mld-C'ontinent Trust Conference to Be Held In November. Plans for the Mid-Continent Trust conference to be heid in Indianapolis early in November were discussed at the luncheon of the Indianapolis Fiduciaries Association Thursday noon. This was the association's first meeting of the 1930-31 season and Charles N. Fults, trust officer of the Union Trust Company and new president of the association, was in charge of the meeting. The association is an organization of trust officers. SEIZE STOCK OF BEER Officers Charge 200 Quarts of Brew Found in Apartment. Police said they confiscated 200 quarts of alleged beer and large quantities of brewing equipment, and held George Cook, 120 East North street, Apartment 23, on blind tiger charges, after a raid Thursday night.
