Thursday night at 9 o'clock. YEAST TRIAL IS STARTED Fleischmann Company Pleads Not Guilty to Conspiracy. Eli Times Special SPRINGFIELD, 111., Sept. 4. The Fleischmann Yeast Company, one of two large manufacturing concerns involved in the federal government’s drive on "higher ups” in prohibition law violations, has pleaded not guilty in United States district court here to a charge of conspiracy. The yeast company and the Corn Products Refining Company, alleged to have supplied yeast and sirup to illegal alcohol plants, were indicted by a federal grand jury last spring.
