HOUSE PAINTER HEIR TO FORTUNE OF MILLION He May Buy a Car and Hire a Chauffeur, but Keep Job, By United Press OCEANSIDE, N. Y, Aug. 16. Samuel Cocks today put aside his paint brushes, but his idleness was not due to tne fact that he may be the sole heir to a million dollars. It was due to the rain, it being notoriously difficult to paint houses in a downpour. Cocks, married and with four children, announced he had been notified of the vast inheritance by a firm of attorneys in Butte, Mont. The testator, he said, was his uncle, Black Foot, a Sioux Indian. The house painter said he intended to remain at his job. But it would be nice, he added, if he could buy a car and engage a chauffeur to drive him to and from work every day.
