COURSES NAME CHAMPIONS FOR TOYGOLF PLAY Elimination Round to Be Held Thursday, Friday Nights. A crack field of par and sub-par shooters will tee off Thursday and Friday nights In the thlrty-slx hole elimination round of The Times city-wide toy golf tournament, survey of the aggregate qualifying scores indicated today. All qualifying scores will be calculated today and the field divided for the elimination round on four courses, two Thursday night at 7:30 and two Friday night at the same hour. The eight low women and eight low men in the elimination round will compose the championship flights for each sex. Contestants are asked to see Thursday's noon edition of The Times for their course assignments. Shoot on Different Course Elimination scores must be made on a course other than that on which the qualifying score was made. Contestant* will be competing for a total of twenty-two prizes in addition to champion and runner-up prizes of silver cups. Prizes will be awarded both to low scorers in the elimination round and to all championship flight players. Two Silver Cup Trophies Prizes include the Kay trophy, ten-inch silver cup with base, to city champion; Times trophy, eightinch silver cup with base, to runnerup; medal score in elimination round of thirty-six holes, electric razor, donated by Indianapolis Power and Light Company; next low scores in order, electric toaster, also donated by Indianapolis Power and Light Company; two golf bags, donated by Smith-Hassler and Sturm sporting goods store; two putters, donated by Hoffman sporting goods store, and two pairs of tickets donated by Palace theater. Eight losers in the first round of the championship play, both men i and women, one pair of Palace theater tickets; women losers in sec- I ond and third round matches, silver and crystal bracelets; men losers in second and third rounds, bronze ; putters. Appeal of Tony Ferracane and Mi*s Hazel Bolin, Indianapolis, convicted in federal court on liquor conspiracy charges, to the United States court of appeals at Chicago was granted today by Will M. Sparks, circuit judge, who tried the case last may. Ferracane was sentenced to five years in Leavenworth penitentiary, and Miss Bolin was sentenced to a year and a day in a woman s prison. Both are serving their time now. Ferracane was arrested a few months after completing a two-year liquor sentence in Leavenworth. JEAN~AUBERT IN U. S.
