A. lecture hall taking a course In psychology. He was 16-year-old Lawrence Free, who kept in a brief case with his books the pistol which he recently forced a dozen or so shop owners and clerks to remove their nether garments to prevent pursuit after he had rqfjbed them. After detective Sergeant Robert Calkins interrupted the routine of the class at the Central Y. M. C. A., young Free confessed the robberi°r. He said he ettended school in the mornings, learned the fine points fcbout psychology and English literature and then devoted his afternoons to taking the pants and the cash of small store owners. “And at night,” he said, “I spent the money taking women around to cabarets and things.
