CHICAGO PLANE IS ON ITS 16TH DAYOFFLIGHT Endurance Record Will Be Equalled at 5:01 Sunday Morning. Bu Vniletl Prr CHICAGO. June 27.—With less than one day left to go for a refueling record for sustained flight, the endurance airplane City of Chicago droned aimlessly today on its sixteenth day of continuous flight. At 3:40 a. m. the City of Chicago continuously had circled over sky harbor airport for 396 hours—or three weeks and two days. To equal the present record of 420 hours the endurance plane must remain in flight until 5:01 a. m. Sunday. “Keep the fuel coming, give us food and we’ll make it.” was the terse message dropped to the field shortly after midnight by Pilot John and Kenneth Hunter, brothers. Field attendants said the plane probably will establish anew record unless a bad storm forces it down. “Maybe they’ll be up when the Southern Cross Goes over,” suggested Albert Hunter to Walter, a fourth brother. Albert and Walter pilot the refueling ship. Big Ben, which nine times or so a day goes up to transfer gasoline, oil and food to the City of Chicago. Albert and Walter had received word that the Big Ben might be required to refuel the famous ship which just completed a transAtlantic flight. They were informed the Southern Cross may pass over Chicago, Wednesday—when the City of Chicago would be aloft just four weeks —on a non-stop flight from New York to California. They said the Big Ben would be available for the refueling and that Irene Hunter, a sister who cooks the meals for John and Kenneth, would prepare a lunch for Captain Kingsford-Smith and his companions.

ISSUE BUILDING PERMITS Total for Last Week Was $105,000, Say Realtors. Building permits for new construction totalling $105,000, were issued during the last week, according to a compilation made by the Indianapolis Real Estate Board today. Os this amount $71,100 was represented by permits for eleven dwellings. A permit was issued for a filling station to cost $12,000 at 2802 College avenue. Another permit was for $16,200 for an addition to the police station. REBUILD MODEL HOME Show Building Is Being Erected in Wynnedale Addition. The Indianapolis Home Complete Show model home, being rebuilt in Wynnedale addition, Forty-second street and Cold Springs road, will be completed for public showing July 2J, realtors announced today. Walter M. Evans, realtor and builder, is in charge of construction. The house is of early American architecturs and is being rebuilt by the Indianapolis Home Builders’ Association.
