SHAW WRITINGS ON DECLINE IN LITERARY MART Famous Ironist’s Works to Do Comeback, However, Asserts Expert. fit/ T'nitfd Pm LONDON, June 20.—Shaw manuscripts, the “gilt-edged securities of of the world’s manuscript market’’ have slumped, but, according to Gabriel Wells, philosopher, peacelovr and Napoleon of Shaw manuscripts, “there is not the slightest doubt that Shaw will come back bigger than ever.” Wells, famed for the huge pricer, he has been known to pay for famous manuscripts and autographs, and reputed to be one of the world’s greatest experts in books, discussed and explained the causes of the recent slump in Shaw manuscripts. He spoke in an exclusive interview to the United Press. “It is not that people think less of G. B. S. but because there is too big a supply of Shaw manuscripts on the market,” he said, explaining the reason for the nresent depreciation of value in Shaw manuscripts.
