STATE HIGHWAY DUST PROGRAM IS PROGRESSING Eliminating of Several Old Detours During Past Week Announced. Several detours were eliminated and a few added on state highways during the week, today’s bulletin of the state highway department shows. Field forces report that the dustlaying program is well advanced, according to Director John J. Brown of the department. General surface conditions were listed as follows: Hoad 7—Closed between Wirt and North Vernon. Through traffic detour over atate roads. IndlanapolU-Mallaon traffic go via J. . , Road #—Detour from north edge or Greenfield to lunetion with 67 for retread ton Is fifteen miles. Detour south of Columbia Cltv for heavy traffic Is five and one-half miles. Light traffic use runaround. Detour from Junction 9 and 6 north of Albion to Rome City is live miles. Detour north of Wolcottvllle Is five miles. Road 11—Run-around three and one-hall miles east of Richmond. Road IS—Detour from Warsaw to three miles south of Leisburg Is five miles. Detour from Wabash to three miles north of Urbana is eleven miles. Road 29—Bridge run-arounds one-half and one mile north of Bryantsburg, onehalf mile south and one mile north of Michtgantown. Drive carefully over two temporary bridges at eleven and fourteen miles south of Logansport. Detour from Wlnamac to eight miles north Is thirteen miles. U. 8. Road 31—Bridge run-around north of Carmel, should be driven carefully. Detour south of Kokomo Is four miles and changes aa work progresses. Road 36—Detour from Junction of 36 and 63 to Dana la ten miles. Road 37—Unfinished shoulders between Needmore and Bloomington, and between Sulphur and Paoll. necessltatea careful driving. U. 8. Road 40—Dustless detour from ene-fourth mile west of Bridgeport to paved 36 into Indianapolis Is two and onehalf miles. Road 46—Run-around three and onehalf miles east of Columbus. Road 62—Detour from Dale to five miles <!jt of Adeyville is thirty-five miles vis Huntingburg; many sharp turns and narrow bridges. Local traffic use old 62. Run-around three miles west of Sulphur. Road 67—Detour from three miles north of Lyons to Junction of 54 and 67 Is six miles. Detour from three and one-half miles south of Worthington to one mile north is six miles.
