NUGG AND KANE JOIN HANDS TO OPPOSECOFFIN Show Strength as County Republican Delegation Stages Caucus. Marion county Republicans were treated Wednesday night to the sight of Martin M Hugg, former county chairman, and Ralph Kane, chairman of the Citizens Republican League, opponents in the primary, joining hands to stop the steam roller tactics of Coffin leaders. Cries of “fraud” pealed through the hall of the house of representatives at the statehouse, where the Marion county delegation caucused, in preparation for today’s ocatc convention. Attempts of the county leaders to put over their slate of convention leaders brought a show of strength, giving the Hugg-Kane faction sixtysix votes and the Coffinites 141 'i. Many Rebels Absent Many of the insurgents were not present and their leaders claim close to 100 votes which are to. be thrown to Judge Charles F. Edwards, chairman of the Seventh district delegation; Charles L. Riddle, secretary, and George L. Denny, assistant secretary. Henry moved the nominations be closed and a storm of “noes” arose. Vote Finally Taken A division was called for by Hugg and Kanes, and finally the vote was taken, showing 123 for closing and forty-one opposed. Hugg and Kane yelled for a roll call saying that those in the lobby were being counted. “This is a serious question. You’ve counted the lobby and you have your own tellers,” shouted Hugg. “We'll be here too long if we make a roll call,” remonstrated Schuyler
