BURNS FATAL ! TO MAN HURT IN CITY BLAZE Wife Told of Death While ai Hospital From Injuries Rescuing Children. Her right leg broken in a leap from a second floor window when flrr - trapped her after she had r her four children from their bi ’ home early Tuesday, Mrs. Benn, 27. of 225 South Warman avenue, today sobbed at city hospital as she was told of the death of her husband, Milton Lynn, 30. as a result of bums suffered in the fire. It was f n her final dash into the flame filled rooms in an attempt to save her husband that Mrs. Lynn was trapped by the flames and was forced to leap from the window. The husband, attempting to rush through flames up a stairway to reach his family, was overcome by smoke and fell on the blazing stairway. Firemen carried him from the house, but the burns proved fatal, coming at city hospital at midnight Tuesday. The fire in the Lynn home started in a downstairs room and filled the stairway with smoke and flames. Mrs. Lynn rushed to the bedroom of her four children and lowered them, Wilma. 5; Laura, 8; Charles, 3, and Mildred, 6. from the roof of a porch to the waiting arms of neighbors below. Then she dashed back into the smoke-filled home to reach the side of her husband, who had been overcome in his attempts to reach the children.

A medley of popular tunes, including “I Never Dream’t” and “Singing a Vagabond Song,” will be featured by Harry Kogen and his orchestra during the Yeast Foamers broadcast from WLW and the NBC Chicago studios Wednesday night at 6 o’clock. “Zigeuner,” the featured musical number of the English operetta, “Bitter Sweet,” which starred Evelyn Laye on Broadway, is the centerpiece for the ensemble in the Palmolive hour to be heard by listeners over WGN, WHAS and an NBC network Wednesday night at 7:30 o’clock. BBS BUB Jesse Craivford, “poet of the organ,” with Mrs. Crawford, will institute the first of anew series of organ recitals over WFBM and the Columbia broadcasting system Wednesday at 6 p. m. Bu T'nitrd Prcfx PITTSBURGH, May 7,-Convict-ed as a common scold under a law several hundred years old, Charles Rizlo, Bs, awaited today a decision on motion of his attorneys for a new trial. Counsel for Rizz, who was accused of using vile language, argued that the law pertained only to “glib women with too active tongues,” but the court ruled that the law likewise pertained to men and overruled a motion for directed acquittal.

GIRL IN HOTEL LEANS DEAD Injuries Received in Dive at Kokomo Are Fatal. Injuries sustained several weeks ago when she is alleged to have leaped from the window of a hotel at Kokomo, proved fatal to Mrs. Juanita Riggins Bosdvk, 26, at city hospital early today. The woman is alleged to have leaped from a third floor hotel room occupied by Abdul Kaahn. associate of Prince Ali. self-styled oriental seer, whom she had gone to Kokomo to visit. She told Kokomo authorities she intended to end her life and friends say she had made eight previous attempts at suicide. She rallied at a Kokomo hospital, but suffered a relapse after being brought to her home here and was taken to city hospital. Kokomo authorities held Prince Ali and Kaahn for a short time in the case, but no charges were preferred.
