Photoplay Indorsers Will Meet • More than 200 members of the Indorsers of Photoplays from all over Indiana will come to Indianapolis Tuesday to attend the annual state convention In the Palm room of the Claypool Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. R. Earl Peters, Ft. Wayne, state president, will preside at all meetings. The convention will open at 9:30 Tuesday with a business session. Mrs. T. W. Demmerly will read the invocation. Mrs. David Ross, national president and local chairman, will give her report. Reports of officers of the board and all committee chairmen will also be given at this time. The nominating committee will present its slate. Mrs. Whipple to Preside Mrs. Francis Whipple will preide at the meeting at 2 Tuesday. Mrs. Peters will give an address. Mrs. James Sproule will give a rerx>rt of the picture committee, and Mrs. W. A. Hacker, editor of the bulletin issued by the organization, also will report. Exchange men of the film companies with offices in Indianapolis will speak on “How to Make the Bulletin of More Service.'* Mrs. Demmerly will give a general survey of the motion picture in the crime district. Mrs. Harry D. Tutewiler will talk on “Our Lady Censors.” Frank Rembusch will' have as his subject, “My Twenty-five Years Personal Experience With the Reformers.” Miss Anna Reade, Seventh district motion picture chairman, will speak on “D. A. R. Position in Motion Pictures.” Hickman Will Speak Mrs. Ross will conduct an institute at the 9:30 meeting Wednesday. Mrs. J. H. Ornaorff will speak on ‘Motion Pictures Fifteen Years Ago and Today” and Mrs. Carl Day will talk on “Philanthropic Work.” Walter D. Hickman, dramatic critic of The Indianapolis Times, will talk on "Debunking tile Talkers.” Vilas Boyle of the Star and Walter Whitworth of the News also will speak. Charles Metzger will have as his subject “The Failure of Censorship as Means of Getting Good Pictures.” At 11 Dr. Charles E. Ferguson will speak on “My First Pictures in Indianapolis.” The annual lunrheon of the organization will be held at 12:30 with Mrs. Peters presiding. Dr. Edward Dunlavy. pastor of the Roberts Park Methodist Episcopal ehtirch will give the invocation. Mrs. Samuel R. Artrnan will extend greetings for the organization. Mrs. Grossman will talk on “Has Censorship Fulfilled Its Purpose?” Mr. Smith will speak on “Motion Pictures Today and tomorrow.” and Mr. Pettyjohn will have as his subject "Some of the Problems of the Industry in Changing the Silent Pictures to Talkies.” * Wednesday night at 7 30 a film, “Mr. Antonio,” from the book by Booth Tarkington. will be presented. Miss Stevenson Is Honored at Shower Party Miss Mildred Helen Stevenson, whose marriage to Maurice Gipson Butler will take place Thursday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Corydon W. Altar Society Will Give Easter Party
Members of the Altar Society of Sacred Heart church will give their | annual Easter party Monday afternoon. Luncheon will be served at noon followed by a card party in the afternoon and again at night in Sacred Heaft hall. Meridian street and in St. Cecelia hall, Union street. Girl Reserves in Program to Last One WeekI Girl Reserves of the city will co-operate in the girls’ week program being sponsored by the Seventh District Federation of Women’s Clubs, April 21-26, which will culminate in a mass meeting for girls next Saturday afternoon in the auditorium of L. S. Ayres & Cos. Girl Reserves will have an exhibit of uniforms, emblems and literature, which will include posters and codes, ln a window of Ayres’ store and will have speakers and a ceremonial as a part of the program Saturday •'fternoon. The organization is composed of the juhior members of the Y. W. C. A. and has 1,400 girls organized in grade and high schools all over the city. They have as their code to “face life squarely” and their purpose, “to find and give the best.” Their program is one which will train younger girls for leadership in later years. They work out their own programs for the most part, under the direction of advisers who are appointed by Miss Jenna Birks and Miss Elsa Jacobsen, Girl Reserves secretaries, in the Indianapolis association.

Y. W. Group to Stage Annual Easter Dinner The spring dinner of the health education department of the Y. W. C. A. and Easter bonnet banquet, will be held Monday night in the social hall with all members of the swimming, dancing and gymnasium classes participating. Decorations and favors and stunts will be carried out In Easter bonnet effect. Members of the committee are Miss Pearl Leonard, chairman; assisted by Mrs. Ellen Snyder, Miss Bertha Archer, Miss Eva Call and Miss Ruby Mae Ernst. The program will consist of music by Mrs. Beth Bernard and Mrs. George Earhart; a rabbit dance in costume by Mary Alice Gingrich, and tap dancing by Miss Verna Nash and Miss Ethel Morical. Stunts will be given by the gymnasium classes of the Hawthorne community center. Mrs. W. C. Smith, chairman of the health education department, will give a brief resume of the year's work. Following the program, there will be swimming, dancing, roller skating and card games. The classes ln the health education department will end the present term May 16 and open again Oct. 1. The swimming pool 's open during the summer months for plunges and lessons taught by Mrs. Bernice Brandes, Miss Nash and Miss Louise Noble, executive secretary of the department. The annual spring recital which will close the season for the dancing classes, will take place May 1516, under direction of Miss Nash, instructor. MRS. PADDACK TO BE CLUB HOSTESS Mrs. Thomas Paddack will entertain members of the Delta Alpha Club at her home, 3101 Washington boulevard, Thursday afternoon.
