SPRING MONTHS BRING NEED FOR ROOF REPAIRING

Early Attention Prevents Need of Replacing Covering Later. House roofs damaged by the ravages of winter should be repaired early in the spring in order to prevent deterioration and most costly repairs, or replacement, later, according to Joseph E. Mattingly, president of the Henry Smithers Roofing Company, 430 South Meridian street. “Many home owners, as well as owners of business buildings, are recognizing the fact that it is poor economy to neglect leaking or damaged roof,” Mattingly said. Good Roof Brings Returns “Keeping a building well roofed is not an expense, bift an investment bringing returns in protection and resale value. “The roof of a home seldom escapes critical observation. While a roof formerly was looked upon merely as a shelter, now it is regarded as one of the first essentials of good architectural style.” The Smithers Company is prepared to roof homes, industrial, commercial and public buildings of any size, architecture and requirements and to give satisfaction. Offers Advice to Owners Many of the roofs laid by the company thirty-five years ago still bear witness to the fine quality of workmanship and materials of the company, Mattingly said. The Henry C. Smither Company will furnish any one interested with information on the various type roofs and to offer advice and assistance to any one contemplating building anew home or building, or planning to re-roof their present structure, he said.
