The program will be. “What the Daughters Do.” A report will be given of the dedication of the new memorial dormitory, which will be opened formally Tuesday, at Miami university, Oxford, O. The national society of D. A. R. is contributing this gift in Tfonor of Mrs. William Henry Harrison, who, during her term as mistress of the White House, was first president general of the organization. Mrs. Roy Hunt and Mrs. Charles Pfafflin will give a musical program, following which a reception will be held for new members who have been admitted during the last year. Dunbar, McCordsville, became the bride of Frank Martin Moore, 18 Hampton court, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Moore, Fountaintown, at 3:30 this afternoon at the Broadway Methodist Episcopal church. The sendee was read by the bride's father. Mrs. Mary E. Wilhite. organist, played “Ah Sweet Mystery of Life,” “I Love You Truly,” and “Oh Promise Me.” Miss Kathryn Kelly. Laporte, the bride's only attendant, wore orchid i chiffon with accessories of orchid. She carried pink roses and lilies of the valley. i James G. Hughes, Greencastle, was best man. The ushers were John Call, Greencastle, and J. Everett Niergarth, Indianapolis. The bride wore yellow chiffon, made with long sleeves and even hemline to the floor. She carried yellow roses. News Reel Expert to Make Talk Courtland Smith, one of the developers of the Fox Movietone news reel, will be the principal speaker at the state convention of the Indorsers of Photoplays, at the Claypool. April 22 to 23. Dr. Clinton Wunder. who was to have been guest speaker, has been called to Hollywood for the month of April. Mr. Smith will speak at the luncheon Wednesday, on “Motion Pictures Today and Tomorrow.” E. L. Grossman, Cleveland, who has been in motion picture work for the last ten years, will talk in the morning on "Has Censorship Fulfilled Its Purpose?” Walter Hickman, dramatic critic of The Indianapolis Times, will have as his subject at the institute, “Debunking the Talkers.” Mrs. David Ross, national president of the organization, and chairman of the Indianapolis group, will preside at the institute. C. C. Pettijohn, formerly of Indianapolis, now general council, Film Board of Trade, New York, also will speak at the luncheon Wednesday.
CONTRALTO TO SING AT MUSICALE TEA
Mrs. Glen Friermood, contralto, accompanied by Mr. Friermood. will give a program at the musicale tea at 4:45 Sunday afternoon at the Avalon Country Club. The affair will be for members and their friends. The club will give a dinner bridge as an April Fool's day party Saturday, March 29, at 6:30. Reservations may be made at the clubhouse. Members of the Book-a-Month Study group of the literature department of the Woman’s Department Club will meet at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, April 9, at the clubhouse. Mrs. H. W. Rhodehamel, chairman, will preside. Mrs. G. B. Taylor will discuss “The Modem Flavor in Books.” Nonmembers may attend by paying a small fee. Mr. and Mrs. William C. Smith, 2910 College avenue, will entertain members of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Indiana at their home Tuesday night at 8.
