GRAIN STORAGE SPACE NOW AT HIGH PREMIUM New Construction in Wheat Belt Planned by Farm Board. Hi Unit'd Pm* CHICAGO, March 21.—With grain bias in Chicago elevators full, need for storage space throughout the wheat belt is "pressing and will be Diet by purchase and erection of additional elevators through loans to co-operative associations,” officials of the Farmers’ National Grain Corporation announced today after a two-day executive committee meeting. A survey of the nation’s congested grain storage faciliti&s revealed need for immediate relief, the officials aaid. They announced that loan schedules for all stockholders have been drawn up, Including allotment pf loans for grain merchandising. "In less than three months, the movement of the new wheat crop will begin in the southwest,” said the officers of the grain corporation, a subsidiary of the federal farm board. "Some new construction is needed in that area and some existing houses need enlarging.. Some houses now owned by others must be acquired by co-operatives. Some subterminal warehouses should be built.” Simultaneously with the grain corporation announcement came reports that secret meetings of big grain speculators with farm board representatives to adjust delivery of grain of future contracts had failed of results. This was taken to Indicate possible shutting off large stores of wheat from points as distant as New Orleans, Buffalo and Portland into the already chock-full Chicago terminals. These developments coincided with the comment of a veteran Chicago grain trader, who served under Hoover’s war-time grain adminstration program, that the farm board was in “deep water” because of announced plans tantamount to "cornering the grain market.” The trader declined to have his name: made public. BUILD MODEL HOME The home that will form the centerpiece of the ninth annual Realtors’ Home Complete Exposition, state fairground. April 5 to 12, is nearing completion, according to Walter Stace, builder. Tire framework is in place, dining and living room walls paneled, and placing of sandstone blocks on the outside walls nearly finished, he said.
HAVE KIDNEYS EXAMINED BY YOUR DOCTOR Take Saits to Wash Kidneys If Back Pains You or Bladder Bothers. Plush your kidneys by drinking a quart of water each day, also take salts occasionally, says a noted authority, who tells us that too much rich forms acids which almost paralyze ft* kidneys in their efforts to expel it from the blood. They become sluggish and weaken; then you may suffer with a dull misery in the kidney region, sharp pains in the back or sick headache, dizziness. your stomach sours, tongue is coated, and when the weather is bad you have rheumatic twinges. To help neutralize these irritating acids, to help cleanse the kidneys and flush off the body’s urinous waste, gel four ounces of Jad Salts from any pharmacy here; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days, and your kidneys may then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for years to help flush and stimulate sluggish kidneys; also to neutralize the acids in the system so they no longer irritate, thus often relieving bladder weakness. Jad Salts is inexpensive; cannot injure and makes a delightful effervescent lithia-water drink.—Advertisement.

In the Cotton Market
<Bv Thomson <te McKinnon) NEW YORK, March 21.—The cotton market continued showing a strong front against selling this morning. Prices were higher and Liverpool offered less resistance than Thursday. There is still a large trade short interest that is reluctant to even up their position, but sooner or later the position of the farm board in the market will force such a covering of the acceptance of the alternative of actual delivery. The tenor of textile news continues to improve and under such- circum stances we look upon declines as only temporary adjustment due to the technical state of the market, such a r e always present in markets for future delivery. In the early afternoon the market was around the top prices for the day and the tone was steady. "We continue to favor purchases on all reactions. CHICAGO High. Low. Close. FELONY LAW ON PISTOL ‘TOTING’ RULED INVALID Collins Frees Detroit Man Whose Traveling Bag Contained Gun. The Indiana statute making it a felony to carry firearms after a defendant has been convicted of a previous felony, is unconstitutional in the opinion of Criminal Judge James, A. Collins. Ruling Thursday afternoon in that respect, Collins freed James Howard, Detroit, of a charge of possessing a firearm after previously being convicted of a felony. Constitutionality of the statute can be determined only by the state supreme court. Harry Gause, deputy prosecutor, said he did not contemplate an appeal. Howard, alias Driscoll, alias Davis, was arrested several weeks ago in a downtown hotel after a traveling bag left at the hotel checkroom was found to contain a gun. Investigation by police revealed that Howard served a prison term in 1907 in Ohio for larceny. Charges were brought against him in Marion county by the prosecutor. Youth Is Sentenced Collins today sentenced Henry Scheckels, 20, 3322 West Vermont street, to serve ten years at the Indiana state prison for holding up a filling station last fall at Washington street and Spencer avenue. Scheckels, a miner, must serve a determinate sentence on the charge a result of a law enacted last year by the legislature. The youth is alleged to have been the third member of a trio composed of Joe Facconi and Roscoe Parsons who were captured In Terre Haute by police following a robbery there. In the battle Parsons was wounded fatally, Scheckels escaped, and Facconi was captured, and is being held in that city for trial. Bandit Gets 10 Years George Jones, 40. of the county jail, received a ten-year determinate sentence for robbery and grand larceny in connection with the holdup Feb. 11 of Frank Muselman, 2705 Martindale. Kenneth Hunt. 24, alleged to be the Banana Kid who recently held up numerous taxi drivers in the city, robbing them of money and their cars will be tried by a criminal court jury, Collins ruled today, after petition for a trial by peers was submitted. Riley Fullen, presenting the petition, declared he was withdrawing from the case “and was making his last move” in behalf of the defendant. Fullen said he understood another attorney’s service had been obtained by Hunt.
