City Host to Convention of Phi Mn The Travertine room of the Lincoln was the scene today noon of the annual state luncheon, given by members of Phi Mu sorority. The affair, sponsored by the Indianapolis Alumnae Club of the sorority, was in honor of active members and alumnae members of the new Delta Epsilon chapter, recently established at Purdue university. Rose and white, the sorority colors, were used in decorating. Flowers and tapers vers in those colors. Favors were boxes of French note paper, embossed with the Phi Mu crest. Seated at the speakers’ table were Mrs. M. C. Hunt, Lafayette, district president for Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky; Mrs. Lawrence Pierce, state chairman; Miss Alice Sexton, president of the Indianapolis Alumnae Club; Miss Marie Sangemebo, president Delta Alpha Alumnae Club; Miss Tiberia Ruchtl, president of the active chapter, Indiana university; Miss Helen Frey, president of the active chapter at Purdue and Miss Naomi Whitcomb, president of the active chapter at Hanover college. Other state and local officers at the table were Mrs. Lawrence Vlark, Mrs. Ruskin Bunnell, Mrs. Elgan Stark. Mrs. Ralph Ploughe, Miss Florence Day and Miss Lora Lackey. Mrs. Pierce extended a message of congratulation and welcome to the active and alumnae members of the new Delta Epsilon chapter. Miss Frey responded for the chapter. Stunts were in charge of the active chapters. Those participating from Indiana university were Miss Inea trarrison, Miss Denzil Snyder, Miss Laura Stout, Miss Mary Lou Lacey, Miss Evelyn Kuhn, and Miss Helen Stewart. From Purdue, those who took part were Miss Frances Davis, Miss Lucille Ahord. Muss Margaret Thomas, Miss Frances Nesbitt, and Miss Irma Kahre; from Hanover, Miss Evangeline Farrell, Miss Mildred Dugan, Miss Ruth Carr, Miss Ruth Winters, and Miss Naomi Whitcomb. Since the fall, when Miss Mayme Johnson started a Camp Fire group j of thirty girls in Franklin, three j more groups have been organized. Mrs. Irene Goldsmith has taken ] the guardianship of a group at the : Community church. A sub-council has been formed by people of Franklin interested in the movement. They will have a representative of the Indianapolis Camp Fire Council. Anew group is being organized at Irvington Presbyterian church. Miss Helen Nichols, executive secretary. will meet with them until a guardian can be found. Miss Mary McClelland has taken over the guardianship of the Ben Davis group. Miss Helen Nichols, executive secretary of the Camp Fire Girls, was invited by the Boy Scouts of St. Louis to attend the Boy Scour circus today. Seven thousand were expected to participate. Miss Nichols went by plane.

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE TO HOLD LUNCHEON
A Mardi Gras luncheon will be given Tuesday noon at the Spink Arms by the Alliance Francaise. Mrs. Paul Krauss is in charge of a special program. She is assisted byMrs. R. G. Lazarus. Mrs. Clifford Gay and Ralph Decker. The regular monthly meeting will be held at the Rauh Memorial Library Tuesday night. Rex P. Young, director of the travel department of the Fletcher Savings and Trust Cos., will present a moving picture taken on the American Travel Agent's educational European tour last fall. Scenes from eight European countries are included. Mme Yvonne Chamilovitch will talk on some of the points of interest in the picture.

Sorority to Give Dance at Claypool Indiana members of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority will celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the sbrority’s founding with the annual state meeting. March 15, in the Riley room of the Claypool. Following the luncheon at 12:30 awards will be made to each girl having highest scholastic average in her chapter. These awards are offered bv the Indianapolis Alumnae Association. The committee in charge is composed of Mrs. Howe S. Landers, chairman; Mrs. Hubert Hickam and Miss Margaret Woessner. Mrs. Landers will make the presentation. Mrs. L. H. Millikan Is in charge of the program. Mrs. Charles A. Hotel Holds Final Ball of Season The last of a series of winter formal balls, given for guests at the Marott hotel and their friends by George J. Blue cards for merit badges must be turned into the office not later than March 8, for the March court of awards. Troop 20 will make a special study of fire prevention. Girl Scout Leaders, Association will have its next meeting at the Rauh Memorial library, Tuesday at 7:30. Lieutenants are invited to attend with the captains. Sixteen girls of Troop 42 entertained with a tea to pass their hostess merit badge. Mrs. J. K. Langfitt, examiner for this badge, was the guest of honor. A skating party also is being planned by this troop at the Hawthorne Community house. Any one who wishes to become a leader is asked to attend a leaders’ training class, which meets every Friday at 10 a. m. Troop 25 members were guests at the Indianapolis Auto Show, heid at the state fairground last week, accompanied by their captain, Miss Irene Stone. Annual Girl Scout camp reunion was held at Manual Training high school last Saturday. The party was a “Story-Book-Ball,” all girls coming in costumes representing some favorite character from a fairy tale. The national Girl Scout film, the “Girl Scout Trail,” was shown. Camp Dellwood film also was shown. There will be a combined meeting of the Educational and speakers committees. Tuesday at the Girl Scout headquarters, at 10 a. m. Mrs. Theodore Vonnegut is chairman of this meeting.
