DAIRY DEALERS' CONSOLIDATION IS IN PROSPECT Merged Move Started at Convention May Include Five States. Preliminary steps toward merger of egg and poultry associations of Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky ana possibly Michigan were begun Tuesday at the opening of the business sessions of the sixteenth annuel convention of the Indiana Egg and Poultry Association in the Severin. After sounding out members of associations of neighboring states, C. E. Grant, secretary-treasurer of the state body, reported to the convention that Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky were ready to jon in the merger move. Charles W. Heath of Cincinnati, speaking for the Ohio poultrymen, explained their willingness to form a larger organization. Meetings twice a year are planned. The present poultry associations in the individual states will retain their charters until the merged unit Is complete. Approximately 1,000 poultry and egg dealers will form the personnel of the joint association. Speakers at the afternoon meeting were Professor W. H. Lapp of Chicago and Gus Schlosser of Frankfort. A banquet and dance were held Tuesday on the Severin roof with the state convention ending tonight. PNEUMONIA IS FATAL Byron R. Rannels, City Confectioner. to Re Buried Thursday.
