Dinner Will Be Given by Fund Group Mrs. William H. Coleman. Mrs. Peter C. Reilly and Mrs. Brandt C. Downey have been appointed members of the committee in charge of arrangements for the tenth annual dinner meeting of the Indianapolis Community Fund, according to an announcement made by William H. Inaley, president. The affair will be held the night of Wednesday. March 5. in the Riley room of the Claypool. Mrs. Downey. Mrs. Reilly and Mrs. Coleman are members of the board of directors of the Community Fund. Invitations for the meeting will be mailed early next week. Reservations will be taken at the Community Fund office, 323 Meyer-Kiser Bank building. This year's honorary member Is to be made known at the annual meeting. Selection will be made in recognition of “outstanding and unselfcsh service to the public welfare.” Monsignor Francis H. Gavisk was named last year. Others who have been made honorary members are Sol Kiser, William H. Coleman, Thomas C. Day, Josiah K. Lilly, William J. Mooney Sr., Alfred O. Kauffman. Edna G. Henry and Louis Hollweg. The committee to name this year’s honorary member, appointed by the board of directors, is composed of Mrs. Downey, Fred Hoke, Mortmer Furscott, Zeo W. Leach and Nicholas H. Noyes. Eight directors of the Community Fund are to be elected at the meeting, each to serve three years. Terms of eight of the present twenty-four directors will expire next month.

Talk on first class work will be given by the state entomologist, Frank Wallace. Monday, at 10 a. m. at Girl Scout headquarters. Anew leaders’ training class will be started at the Girl Scout headquarters, 512 Board of Trade building, Feb. 21. Anyone interested in becoming a leader should attend this meeting, Anew troop has been organized at the Irvington Methodist Episcopal church, 30 Audubon place. Girls interested in becoming a Girl Scout are invited. Meetings will be held every Wednesday at 3:30 p. m., and this group will be known as Troop 35. Annual camp reunion will be held Saturday, March 1, at 1 p. m.. at Manual Training high school. The camp movie will be shown and probably other films. Cookie day winners have been announced as follows: First place goes to Troop 23, MrsT Maurice Socwell. captain: second place to Troop 28, Mrs. Charles E. Miss Dorothy Hook Becomes Bride of Russell E. Clift
A lovely wedding took place Fi*iday when Miss Dorothy Margaret Hook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Hook, Walnut Hills, Sprngmill road, became the bride of Russell Edwin Clift, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clift, 3127 West Washington street. The ceremony was perfoi*med by the Rev. Elmer Ritter, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul cathedral, at high noon, in the conservatory of the home of the bride's parents. The service was read before banked ferns and flowers. Mrs. George Wood, 5514 Washington boulevard, entertained today with a 1 o'clock luncheon, honoring Mrs. J. A. Firestone, who will leave soon to live in California. Whitstein, sang a group of bridal airs, including "Until,” “O Promise Me,” and “Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin. Miss Catherine Connor, harpist, played “Sweet Mystery of Life.” and during the ceremony, “To a Wild Rose.” Miss Dorothy Fife, the bride’s only attendant, wore a gown of pale blue chiffon, made with a fitted bodice and long full skirt. The bodice had a cape collar, with lace inserts. She wore a large horsehair braid hat, and slippers of the same shade of blue. Her arm bouquet was of pink roses and lilies of the valley. Bobby Lou Johnson, flower girl, wore a ruffled frock of rose taffeta, and carried a basket of rose petals. August Hook, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Ralph Hook, another brother, and Malcolm Carlisle. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore white satin, made princess style, with long tight sleeves and rose point lace collar. The skirt was fashioned with four points, the side pieces longer than the front panel, and the one in back sweeping into a train. A large bow of satin was placed in back, at the waistline. Her veil was of white tulle, made cap style, caught at the sides and in the back with orange blossoms. The bottom of the train also was caught with orange blossoms. She carried a real lace handkerchief belonging to Mrs. Reilly C. Adams, and carried at her wedding and by her mother, as well as several recent brides. Her shower bouquet was of Easter lilies, white roses, and friesias. \ A reception followed the ceremony. The bride’s table was centered with a wedding cake in a i garland of white roses and smilax. and lighted by white tapers. Mrs. Hook received in black lace, with salmon, and Mrs. Clift, in black lace. Both wore corsages of butterfly roses and purple sweet peas. The couple have gone on a trip to Florida, Mrs. Clift travelling in a hunter's green ensemble, with green hat, slippers, purse and gloves, and a mink coat. They will be ft home after April 1, at 6221 College avenue. Mrs. Clift is a graduate of St. Mary’s of, the Woods college, and Mr. Clift attended Swarthmorc college and Indiana university. He Is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. 4 Among the out-of-town guests at the wedding were Miss Dorothy Mohlman, Lafayette; Miss Estelle Hawkins, Shoals; Frank Gallagher, Dayton, and John Kehoe, Terre Haute.
VISITORS ARE GUESTS AT DINNER PARTY
Miss Marie Schmecker, Miss Leona Eggers, and Carroll Dougherty, Dayton, 0.. were honor guests at a St. Valentine’s day dinner party given Thursday night at the Seville tavern by R. C. Hicks. The table was decorated with a bowl of American Beauty roses and lighted with crimson tapers. A program of old-time airs and ballads was a feature of the evening. Guests were Mrs. Celia Genaro, Miss Virgina Lake, Miss Dorothy O’Hara, Miss Erith Powell, Peter Adams, George Johnston. Herbert Lester and Francis McGlinchy. Members and pledges of Sigma Phi Alpha sorority will be entertained at a Valentine party tonight at the home of the Misses Golda and Lena Fivel, 3257 Ruckle street. Pledges will be in charge of arrangements. Decorations and appointments will be in Chanel red and silver, the sorority colors, and will convey the Valentine idea. Hold Washington Dance 1 Members of the Avalon Countrr Club will entertain with a Washington’s birthday dance at 9 next Satururday night, Feb. 22. at the clubhouse.
