Radio RADIO PROGRAM TO CELEBRATE LINCOLN BIRTH Fans to Hear Addresses at Knox Alumni Dinner Tuesday Night. Ru Unit'd prrm NEW YORK, Feb. 7 —Addresses at the Knox college alumni dinner Tuesday, the eve of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, will be broadcast by WJZ and NBC networks and other gatherings of graduates throughout the United States will meet around receiving sets to hear the program from. 9:30 to 10 (central standard time. Speakers in the City Club here will make special reference to Lincoln and his relation to Knox college. for it was on a crude platform outside the college that the emancipator had his most significant debate with Stephen Douglas. It was from Knox that Lincoln received his first honorary degree of LL. D. in 1860. The speakers will be John H. Finley of the New York Times, former of Knox; President Wiliam Alan Neilron of Smith college and President Albert Britt of Knox. Dr. Finley will speak on the memory of the Lincoln associations which have been kept alive at Knox, Dr. Neilson will describe the par* played by the small college in American life and Dr. Britt will tell of! the place of Knox in the middle west. Eugene Marsh Sr., and destroyed j the Lake Wawasee cottage in which he lived is on a honeymoon today with the man whose life she saved during the fire. Mrs. Virginia Cleveland Wilt, 26. was married to Fletcher Eugene Marsh Jr., crippled grandson of the victim. Fire started in the summer home while the occupants were asleep. Mrs. Wilt, housekeeper, pulled the crippled youth from the house to j safety but was unable to aid the j older man. The ceremony was performed by ! D. L. Thomas, justice of peace, as j the couple sat in an auto in front of the courthouse. The funeral of the elder Marsh was held Thursday at Kalamazoo, Mich.

FREE SEVEN IN ABDUCTION OF RICH REALTOR Cops Quiz Detroit Gang Members; Kidnaping Victim Recovers. I Bm United Preee ! NEW HAVEN, Conn., Feb. 7. Seven persons arzested in connection with the kidnaping and holding for $30,000 ransom of Max Price, elderly New Haven real estate broker and money lender, were freed unexpectedly today. Assistant City Attorney Nelson R. Durant ordered them released on his return from New York, where he -questioned Sam Handel and Harry Fleisch, self-styled members of the notorious Detroit Blue Purple kidnaping gang. Steps were being taken today to extradite Handel and Fleisch for trial here. Price is in a Fairfield county sanitarium, endeavoring to recuperate from the shock of his terrifying nine-day captivity and the strain of continued physical abuse. The location of the sanitarium was known only to Price's family and police. Prosecution of the alleged abductors, who released Price near Bridgeport Wednesday night, probably will await the victim's recovery. Physicians have ordered the 62-year-old realtor to take a complete rest for at least two weeks. Before going to the retreat, Price

Distribution of live stock and poultry will be made at once under the rehabilitation program, with seed to be distributed later.
