Lascelles is Expert Rider: Son of Princess Mary. ftp l tilled Prr* GOLDSBOROUGH HALL, Yorkshire, Feb. 7.—George Henry Hubert Lascelles, the eldest son of Princess Mary, is 7 years old today. He is the oldest grandson of King George V, and enjoys the distinction of being the first born grandchild of the royal family of Great Britain. During the past year George has become an expert horseman. Daily he rides on his favorite pony, "Whiskers.” He likes to ride best with his "Uncle David,” the Prince of Wales. At an early age he became known as a studious child. During the past year he has advanced in his studies and is acquiring a knowledge of art and literature. Often he accompanied his mother, the sole daughter of King George and Queen Mary, on her numerous* inspection tours of department stores, hospitals and homes for elderly folk. Just before the Christmas holidays, little George visited his grandfather. King George, at Buckingham Palace and assisted him with his stamp books. He is an ardent collector. The signal light at the crossing was sound-controlled and it hapneded that the dog's bark acted on the mechanism of the light. His continuous barking kept the "go” light lit in one direction. Police drove the dog away.

Despite the existence of enforcement acts in all but five states, it is said that most states do little more than go through the motions of seeking out large offenders. The records show many arrests and fines, but in many instances they consist of "little fellows” operating a still or running a speakeasy. The investigation is desgned to show the various kinds of state acts in force, the number of men employed, the attitude of judges and juries, the comparison between state and federal cases and convictions.
