Bride-Elect Is Honored With Dinner Miss Helen Ready will entertain tonight with a dinner party at 8:30 at the Indianapolis Athletic Club, in honor of Miss Josephine Stout and Leon Desautels, whose marriage will take place next Saturday morning at St. Joan of Arc’s church. The table will be centered with a plateau of tea roses and lighted by tall yellow tapers. Yellow and capucine, the bride-elect’s colors, will be used in other appointments. Covers will be laid for Miss Ready, Miss Stout. Mr. Desautels, Miss Helen Garritv, Chicago; Miss Wildell Washburn. Paducah, Ky.; Fred MahafTey, Gordon Kelly, and Hugh Charles McGowan. Mrs. J. V. ALLIANCE TO HEAR TALK ON FRANCE
“The Cathedral of France” will be the subject of a lecture of Professor C. E. Leavenworth, of Wabash college, at the meeting of the Alliance Francaise Tuesday night. The meeting will be held at 8 at the Rauh memorial library. All who are interested in French are invited to attend. The lecture will be illustrated by large photographs from the Carnegie collection, a recent gift to Wabash college. Professor Leavenworth is head of the department of romance languages at Wabash. He has studied at the Alliance Francaise and the Sorbonne In Paris.

Psychologist Is Brought Here by Club Union “The Riddle of Human Relations” is the interesting subject of a lecture to be given Friday night by David Seabury, prominent New York consulting phychologist, lecturer and author, in the auditorium of School 57. Dr. Seabury’s lecture is the second of a series being sponsored this winter by the Irvington Union of clubs. The first was presented by Dorothy Thompson (Mrs. Sinclair Lewis), who talked on Russia. Organist to Give Recital at Church Arthur Dunham, organist-director of the Methodist Temple in Chicago, will give an organ recital Friday at 8:15 p. m. at the Broadway M. E. church, under auspices of the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale. Dunham is one of the outstanding organists of Chicago. He was guest artist at the recent national convention of organists at Memphis, Tenn. Among the numbers he will play on his Indianapolis program will be the "Prelude and Fugue in D Major,” which the critics cite as an outstanding performance.
