GRAIN DEALERS TALK PROBLEMS I AT CONVENTION Speakers Optimistic Over I Outlook for Farmers for This Year. Two-day convention of the Indiana Grain Dealers’ Association will end at 3 today, with a meeting in the Board of Trade building for election of officers and closing addresses. Relief from problems confronting farmers and millers in governmental legislation have been discussed by numerous speakers who are generally optimistic over the outlook for 1930. Frederick Landis. Logansport editor. will be the final convention speaker. Verbal censure of government Control of surplus crops drew applause of convention at the opening session Thursday in addresses by E. E. Elliott. Muncic, association president, and Dick Miller, City Trust Company president. "The federal farm act," declared Elliott, "Is one of the most elastic bills ever before congress. It places in the hands of nine men a half billion dollars of the people’s money to be used to foster development of co-operative associations of producers, with no reference made to the already established system of handling grain. "It reaches into most every line of production, and its effect will be felt, or already has been feit, in all lines of business.’’ Charles W.
