COLD WAVE TO FREEZE STATE GRAVEL ROADS Floods Endanger Traffic on Many Paved Highways, Report Shows. Cold wave is expected to freeze ravel roads in the state, which have been closed to heavy traffic for several days because of thaws and steady rains. Floods endangered traffic on many paved highways and blocked two. according to the bi-weekly report of the state highway department today. The report on highway conditions : Road 3 Detour around bridge construction at four miles north of Grecnsburg is five mile. Bridge run-around at onenaif mile north of Reiffsburg. Road 15- Detour from Warsaw to three mllea aouth of Leesburg account construction Is five miles. United States Road 24—Detour onehalf mile north at fourteen miles east of Monticello to old route to Logansport. Detour east of Huntington until Erl* railroad constructs viaduct under its tracks through w'liich the city Is to complete paving to meet *tatc road, js ono tailc. Road 28 Detour just west of Tipton account construction Is one and one-half miles. Road 29—Detour at fifteen miles south of Logansport account bridge out Is four miles. Detour from two miles north of Winamac to Pulaski-Starke county line account paving. Is ten miles. United States Road 31—Traffic drive how over temporary bridge at one mile north of Peru. Road 37- Detour near Harrodsburg account unpaved gap is three miles. Traffic should drive carefully past uncompleted shoulders between Bedford and Bloomington. Hoad 39—Detour from Rossville to six and one-half miles north, account paving is seven and one-half miles. Read 45—Traffic drive slow over new pavement west of Bloomington. Road 46—Traffic drive slow east of Bloomington, account work on shoulders. Detour just west of Nashville, account building bridge All. is two and one-half miles (and bad in places during wet weather). Detour at one and one-half miles east of Newberu. account grading is two and one-half miles. United States Road 52 North and south detour account bridge out seven mile.--southeast of Indianapolis, each about four miles, for light traffic only; will be removed about Jan. 15. Federal Judge J. W. Woodrough, above, of Omaha, recently ruled that prohibition agents must have search warrants before raiding a home, even though they may see what they think is liquor-making in progress. Judge Woodrough is to give a decision soon on constitutionality of the Jones law.
