PURCHASING OF COAL FOR HEAT UNITSADVISED Best Results Obtained by Using Type Suited to Plant. Few people give much thought to the particular kind of ccal they buy, yet there is a vast difference in coal from different mines. Some coal is screened, some washed and other coal is run of mine—that is coal just as it is mined, no effort being made to remove slate and dirt. Soft as well as hard coal comes in several grades and sizes, each grade and size especially suited for some particular use. Some furnaces will operate much more efficiently with a certain grade and size than by using just any coal. The coal dealer having his customers’ interests in mind does not buy just coal, but instead buys by the analysis method. He knows exactly what he has purchased. The laboratory has told him the amount of ash, moisture and other content in each ton. Industrial plants, most of the institutions and all large users buy coal by analysis in order to get coal that will produce the most heat units per dollar spent. It pays to purchase coal from such a dealer. The Artificial Ice and Cold Storage Company, 316 West Ohio street, offers coal users the advantage of their years of experience regarding the correct grade and size of coal to use with each type of heating equipment. Customers unable to visit the office may receive any information desired by telephoning Lincoln 6443.
NEW SUNLAMP AID TOHEALTH Provides Brilliant Rays for Use in Home. Enjoyment and benefits of sunshine need not be limited to summer months, according to General Electric engineers, who have developed anew type of sunlamp for home use. The General Electric sunlamp has appeared in many localities during the pre-Christmas shopping season. The bulb utilizes the mercury vapor tungsten are principle, and is as easily replaced as the ordinary electric light bulb. This new type lamp was conceived by research workers and engineers of the General Electric Company, with unlimited resources at their command, after exhaustive tests and experiments. The lamp provides a bath of relaxing, healthful and vitalizing rays like nature's own. Only the same care need be exercised in use of the General Elec- ! trie sunlamp as with the actual sun- j light in summer. The General Electric sunlamp is being sold, and displayed by leading stores and electrical dealers throughout the city.

DELIGHTFUL TOURS, CRUISES OUTLINED
Mediterranean Trip One of Most Enjoyable, Expert Says. A Mediterranean cruise is one of the most enjoyable winter ocean voyages, according to Richard A. Kurtz, Union Trust Company foreign department manager. This tour takes the voyager from New York to Madeira, islands of mountains and quaint villages, and from there to Spain, visiting Cadi?, oldest city in Europe. Through the straits of Gibraltar the traveler next visits northern Africa, stopping at Algiers, with its oriental atmosphere; Theses, ancient capital of Egypt, claimed as the oldest city in the world; the Holy Land, stopping at Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the ruins of Jericho and the River Jordan.
Tasty Dinner Provided by Chicken and Noodles
Special Recipe is Given by Food Company for Pleasing Meal. Chicken and noodles, the famous American dish, is eaten and relished by every one, but few give thought to the nourishment value of the tasty noodles, according to officials of the Newel Food Products Company. One of the most nourishing of cereal products, noodles, are digested easily, cooked and combined with many food flavors. When made at home, however, they require considerable labor in preparation and few persons go to the trouble of obtaining the proper and scientifically prepared ingredients so necessary to the proper flavor and food value. The Newel Products Company prepares in its strictly sanitary kitchens pure egg noodles containing the best of hard durum wheat and whole eggs. The following recipe for chicken and noodles is recommended by the Newell Company: One young hen or large fryer, two cups thin cream, two eggs, one-half pound Newel Pure Egg Noodles, three tablespoons butter or substitute, two tablespoons flour. Prepare the chicken for frying, salt and dredge well with flour. Heat the butter In an iron pan and brown the chicken in it. Add a few tablespoons hot water, cover tightly and bake in moderate oven until very tender. Take up the chicken, stir the flour into the liquid in the pan, add the cream which has been heated, and cook gently five minutes. In the meantime boil the Newel noodles in salt i water until tender, drain and pile in a buttered ring mold. Beat eggs until yolks and whites are 'well mixed, add to one cup

Other points of interest include the Dead sea, Nazareth, Athens, the Adriatic sea, Venice, Naples, Rome and Monaco. The Mediterranean cruise affords an education that can not be gained from reading, yet it is arranged easily. Associated travel no longer is in the experimental stage, Kurtz said, but is a successful achievement. Party travel offers better hotel accommodations, more exclusive railroad service and better planned sightseeing excursions. It makes it possible to learn the expense of the trip in advance, and eliminates annoyance of railroad tickets, hotel bills, servants’ fees and transportation. The Union Trust Company, 120 East Market sfreet, has maintained a travel department for the last ten years, and is able to give information desired on itineraries, hotel reservations, sightseeing and motor tours, Kurtz said.

SUPER-SERVICE IS OFFERED BY REPAIRING FIRM Speed. Satisfaction Given on Any Auto Work by Madden-Copple. Developing the modern superservice idea to the utmost, the Madden-Copple Company, 733 North Capitol avenue, is prepared to give the motorist speedy, reliable and satisfactory service in automobile repairs and rebuilding. The automobile in use so extensively for business and pleasure presents a question of proper servicing in the least possible time. With its unexcelled facilities, the Madden-Copple Company is prepared to meet any need, whether it is changing a spark plug, starting a stalled car, or rebuilding an almost complete wreck. This complete service, coupled with conscientious attention of skilled workmen, has resulted in growth of the firm, from a humble beginning seventeen years ago, to its present position as one of the largest businesses in the state engaged in automobile repairs. As an added measure of this idea of service to motorists the shop is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The company is prepared to go anywhere in Indiana or any other state to return wrecked cars for rebuilding.
