Rivalry Tilts Feature Prep Card Tonight Washington and Vincennes Clash in One of State’s Best Contests. Indiana high school basketball interest will be centered in the southern part of the state tonight as more than seven hundred prep quintets swing into action. Among the headline attractions on the program are Washington at Vincennes, Rushville at Connersville, Greencastle at Martinsville, and Franklin at Columbus. Washington and Vincennes figure in one of the bitterest rivalries in high school court circles and their annual games are classics. Burl Friddle's Hatchets, regarded as one of the five strongest quintets in the state are heavy favorites. Greencastle Ambitious Despite several early season losses, Martinsville, annually a title contender, is a favorite over the ambitious Greencastle netters. Artesian City five dropped a game to Franklin last week-end by a topheavy 32 to 1! score. "Fuzzy” Vandiver’s Franklin Fighting Five will have an opportunity to prove its strength in the game with Columbus. The Bulldogs have been going along at a spectacular pace, piling up more than 100 points in their two engagements last week-end. All members of the interscholastic Big Ten will play Conference games tonight. Anderson and Frankfort tangle in the feature of this league, at the home of the state championship Hot Dogs. Both teams have been defeated once, but still rank among the state’s best. Tech of Indianapolis, runner-up for the state title last season, will risk its 1.000 rating in the Conference against the Bearcats at Muncie. Kokomo, another team gaining momentum after a slow start, is
