UNPAVED ROADS’ CONDITION GOOD DESPITE RAINS Detour Mileage Reduced Considerably, Asserts Highway Report. Unpaved state roads are in good condition despite the rain and thaw, the state highway department bulletin stated today. For the first time in the history of the state highways, there is less than ten miles of unfinished pavement carried into the winter season, according to Director John J. Brown. This reduces the detour milage to a large extent, the bulletin pointed out. The maintenance division is prepared with stones and gravel to take care of slippery hillsides and other winter hazards the bulletin

Road 31—Traffic drive slowly over temporary bridge one mile north of Peru. Road 37 —Detour near Harrodaburg Is three miles. Traffic Bedford and Bloomington and just north of Martinsville drive slowly because of work on road shoulders. Road 38—One mile detour from Hagerstown east is over old road. Detour four and one-half miles west of Richmond is four miles. Road 46—Traffic drive slowly east of Bloomington. Detour Just west of Nashville two and one-half miles. Detour one and one-half miles east of Newbern is two and one-half miles. U. 8. Road 52—Detour from eight miles west of Metamora to Brookvllle is eighteen and one-half miles. Part of detour over 1. Through trafTic from Cincinnati follow 1 to Connersvllle then 44 to Rushville. Road 67—Detour from Albany to Redkey Is eight and one-half miles. U. 8. Road 150 —Six-mile detour three miles west of Prospect is via West Baden and 56 and narrow. Bridge run-around three and one-half miles west of Prospect. Roads not mentioned, and parts of roads mentioned, but not specified, and all detours not otherwise described, are in good condition.

FUNERAL RITES SET General Aultman to Be Buried at Arlington. B'/ T'nited Pr> ss WASHINGTON', Dec. 13.—Funeral arrangements were being completed today for Brigadier-General Dwight E. Aultman, ranking briga-dier-general of the army, who died at the Walter Reed hospital here Thursday. He is to be buried in Arlington cemetery. He was born in Allegheny, Pa., in 1872 and was graduated from West Point in 1894. He had served since in the field artillery, his last command being at Ft. Sill. Okla. He also served at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis.
