BUSINESS MEN’S AIR CLASSES TO START AT ONCE Curtiss-Wrigtit Sponsors Course of Eight Weeks’ Duration. Anew type of aviation classes for business and professional men will be opened Wednesday by CurtissWright Flying Service of Indiana, General Manager H. Weir Cook announced today. The course will include two duplicate lectures each week for eight weeks; one, a luncheon on Wednesday at the Columbia Club, and the other Friday at 4:30 p. m. at. the Chamber of Commerce, together with eight instructive airplane flights. First lecture will be given by Prof. George W. Haskins, Purdue university, on theory of flight. The remaining lectures will be given by Cook, Italph W. Barnes. Curtiss school manager; W. H. Armington, meteorologist; N. H. Gilman, Allison Engineering Company vicepresident and general manager; C. L. Zcchiel. attorney; Charles E. Cox .Jr., Curtiss assistant manager, and Earl W. Sweeney, Curtiss chief flight instructor. More than fifty business men have been enrolled. The course was designed to give business men a general knowledge of aviation in all its various phases, Cook .s-iid. TRAVELERS - AID CLUB RENAMES DIRECTORS Annual Report Shows 5,543 Were Cared for During Year. Two directors were re-elected for three years and five new ones named at the annual meeting of the Travelers’ Aid Society at its annual dinner Monday night in the Columbia Club. Mrs. Grace Amorosi, executive secretary, outlined the society's work during the year. The Rev. Charles FI. Winders and John C. Millspaugh w - ere renamed to the directors’ board, while Guy K. Jefferies, J. P. Corcoran. George F’. Scheer, R. S. Ferguson, C. D. Harding and E. S. Pearce are new directors. The society cared for 5,543 persons on an approportionment of $6,325 received from the community fund, with a small balance left over, according to the financial report. AGED WIDOW IS DEAD Body of .Mrs. Mary M. Stool Mill Go to Cincinnati for Burial. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. L. L. Fellows of 4330 Washington boulevard, for her mother, Mrs. Mary M. Steel, 81, who died Monday afternoon. Mrs. Steel was the widow 7 of Samuel C Steel, chief examiner of the railway mail service at Cincinnati for many years. Her first husband, the late Dr. John J. Hight. was editor of the Western Christian Advocate for many years. Burial will be at Cincinnati Thursday. BRANCH ESTABLISHED TO STUDY NUTRITION State School of Dentistry Will Test Effect of Food on Teeth. Nutrition problems and their relation to dental diseases will be studied by a research foundation organized at the Indiana university's school of dentistry. Dr. Sherman L. Davis, a member .of the faculty, and a recognized authority on questions of nutrition, will be in charge of the foundation. He will be aided by an advisory council of medical men and dentists. Fellowships In the foundation w ill be established for students with special qualifications. It is the hope Dr, F. R. Henshaw, dean of the dental school, that the foundation will attract philanthropic gifts of money to aid the foundation’s program. APARTMENT IS ROBBED A trade is no robbery. That may be ihe defense of a burglar who entered the apartment of Mrs. John Ennis, No. 9, at 108 East St. Clair street. Monday night and stole S9O worth of clothing and jewelry and $5 in cash.
