DAVIS CLASSES WORKER'S WIFE AS ‘EXECUTIVE’ Secretary of Labor Lauds Average Woman in Radio Address. By United Preen WASHINGTON, Nov. 29.—Every housewife is entitled to two weeks' vacation each year, in the opinion of Secretary of Labor Davis. There’s no rest for her on Sunday, either, he said. “She may not be a saint, a queen or a goddess. Sometimes she gets tired and cross. Why not, considering the load on her shoulders?” he said. “As we add up her list of occupations—wife, mother, nurse, housekeeper, cook, laundress, seamstress, hopper, financier, mistress of every trade—we gaze at her in wonder and admiration."
