FISHERMEN ARE VANISHING FROM RIVER LEVEE Industries Push WaterFront Dwellers Into Exile at St. Louis. ST. LOUIS, Nov. 15.—St. Louis’ waterfront, once a spot where “old salta’* of the Mississippi river gathered to swap yarns of their adventures—fast is being modernized. Three miles of St. Louis which juts down to the banks of the “ole Miss' ’once lined with fishermen's shanties and boat docks—is becoming dotted with Industries. But a scattering of the old skippers that once depended upon the father stream for a livelihood remain. The ones that used to take prid ein their boats, fishing equipment and families—for the most pride in their boats, fishing equipiast time. But, the few that do remain, do not hesitate in saying that the “old St. Louis river front is not what she used to be.” They hate to see their •favorte spots” swept aside by huge warehouses and other strucYurea that fast are driving away the traditions of the Mississippi. A veteran who had spent his life On the banks of the Mississippi, pointed to a huge bridge and remarked: “Many a time I’ve pulled ‘whooptr' fish from that very spot. Do you suppose there is a fish left there now? Couldn’t be, the noise and hub bub of the city is enough to scare anything as far from it as possible.” The whistle of a side w’heeler puffing up stream caused the old man to stride away to his fishing nets. And as a parting remark he made it clear that he wished the “old St. Louis w r ater front was like it was years ago—when a man could sit upon a beer barrel in a saloon and spin yarns, possibly w ith a pal w r ho had just arrived from harrowing experiences on the ole Mississippi.’ ”

It certainly gave me the surprise of ray life. I was suffering from a rundown and overworked system. I was highly nervous, became worn-out easily and lacked energy to do my work or enjoy life. 1 couldn’t remain still for any length of time and often got up Jrf the middle of a show to go home. I knew that I was in need of a good tonic and medicine and that I needed it soon or I would go into a decline. “Well, that need was filled by Konjola. Daily 1 read and heard what it was doing for countless Indianapolis people and 1 wisely reasoned that what Konjola had done for others it would <lo for me. I decided to put it to the test and that was all that Konjola asked, just to he put to the test. Without hesitation It went to the source of my troubles and began to build up my system. Anew feeling of health surged through me. My organs were cleansed, regulated and Invigorated. My nerves became calmed and settled and I gained ha -k all mv lost strength and energy. I can hardly believe that 1 was ever in such a rundown condition and I owe all my glorious health to Konjola. I will praise this medicine as long as I live.’’ So It goes: the same splendid story of success whenever Konjifla is given the opportunity to make good. Here Is.
