Nov. 11—Precautions against disorders in the final week of the presidential campaign were redoubled today as the capital recovered from bloody street fighting between the supporters of rival candidates. Three dead and possibly twentyfive wounded, including a woman and a child, was announced as the toll of a clash Sunday night when pistol fire and a barrage of bricks and stones started during a parade of 5,000 supporters of Jose Vasconcelos, anti-re-electionist candidate for president. There was a persistent report, denied by President Emilo Portes Gil, that the government had dispatched troops to various sections throughout the country, where disorders might occur. Tension was severe in Tampico, Guadalajara and Vera Cruz, where great demonstrations were held Sunday. The fighting in the capital occurred at the headquarters of Posual Ortis Rubio, national revolutionary party candidate. A mob later was turned back from the presidential palace by soldiers with fixed bayonets and police guarded the United States embassy, where a demonstration was held.
