Marie A rens, Dr. Leonard Wed Nov. 30 Miss Marie Arens, daughter of Mrs. Herman J. Arens has announced the date of her marriage to Dr. Thomas Leonard, son of Mrs. Anna Leonard. The wedding will take place at 10 o'clock Saturday, Nov. 30, at SS. Peter and Paul "cathedral. Miss Arens will have as her maid of honor. Miss Helen Otte, and Miss Lenora Leonard, her fiance’s sister. Miss Frances Kotteman, and Miss Eloys Meyer, as bridesmaids. Dr. Gerald Kiley will be Dr. Leonard’s best man. The ushers will be James Bowen, Theodore Marbaugh and Frank Arens, cousin of the bride-elect. Little Miss Suzanne Greene will be flower girl. A number of parties are being planned in honor of Miss Arens. Miss Lillian Dhein will enlerctain Wednesday, Nov. 20, and Miss Eloys Meyer will entertain Saturday Nov. 23. Mrs. A. J. Lauth entertained this afternoon, honoring Miss Arens with a luncheon bridge party at her home 3169 Washington boulevard. CLUB TO HOLD GUEST DAY MEETING
Zeta Theta Club will hold Guest day Wednesday at the home of Mrs. J. W. Knipp, 2140 Central avenue. Mrs. W. R. Seiber will give two groups of readings in costume, and Mrs. Fred Knodel will give two groups of songs in costume, accompanied by Mrs. Seiber. Miss Eugenia Hueston will also read. Mrs. Sexton Names Aids for Mothers’ Club Card Party
Mrs. Timothy P. Sexton, president of the Mothers’ club of Cathedral high school, announces the following committees for the annual card party to be given Friday afternoon and evening in the school auditorium. Music Clubs to Hold Session at Crawfordsvi lie. Junior music clubs of Crawfordsxille. including fourteen federated musical groups, will act as hostesses to the junior district convention, to be held Saturday. Nov. 16. at the Wabash Presbyterian church. The Indiana Federation of Clubs is the first in America to have its own junior federation. Mrs. Clair McTurnan. -Indianapolis, is state chairman of the group. The following cities will send delegates from junior clubs: Terre Haute. Lafayette, Frankfort. Franklin. Nobelesville. Lebanon. Ladoga. Brazil. New Ross, Mace. Darlington. Covington. Veedersburg. Kingman. Newtown. Columbus and Delphi. Among the clubs which will take part in the choral and orchestral of the First Methodist church are: Delphi, Ladoga, New Ross. Children's Book week will be observed by the Monday Club at the D. A. R. chapter house, 824 North Pennsylvania street, at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. : Mrs. R. B. Ethel Leginska Will Be Guest at Reception A reception for Ethel Leginska and members of her orchestra who are members of Mu Phi Epsilon, national honorary musics 1 sorority, will be given Sunday by members of Kappa chapter, the Alumnae Club and the Patroness Club of Indianapolis Mu Phi Epsilon sorority in the chapter room at the Arthur Jordan conservatory of music. Art Exhibition at French Lick Well Extended With the success of the exhibition of American sculpture at the French Lick Springs hotel, which closes Sunday, and moves to a gallery at Pittsburgh, another exhibit is planned for next spring and subsequent season at French Lick. The exhibit was attended largely by art lovers in many Indiana cities. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Wheeler, Indianapolis, were at the springs hotel this week. Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Alig, Indianapolis, spent last week-end at the French Lick Springs hotel. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Stempfel, Indianapolis, have been spending an outing at the springs. William Forsythe, Indiana artist, visited the springs this week to attend the exhibit of American sculpture. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davidson, Indianapolis, were guests of French Lick Springs this week. Mr. and Mrs. Phelps F. Darby, Evansville, were at the springs this week as was Mrs. A. W. Ingleheart, Evansville. Miss Sara Callison, Lafayette, was with Chicago friends here over the week-end.
