Sorority to Install New Unite in City Psl Omega XI sorority of Teachers’ college of Indianapolis will be installed as a chapter of the national educational sorority. Pi Kappa Sigma, at the chapter house, 2324 North NeW Jersey street, Sunday morning. Mrs. C. P. Neidges, grand president; Mrs. Andrew G. Renz, second grand vice-president, and Mrs. C. W. Whiting, alumnae representative, all of Cincinnati, were entertained at dinner Friday night at the Marott hotel and the sorority Is giving a formal dinner in their honor tonight at the Marott. Honor guests, In addition to the installing officers, will be Mrs. Alice Corbin Sies, president of the college; Miss Emma Colbert, dean and Miss Grace Graves, faculty sponsor of the sorority. Miss Alice Bachman will preside and talks will be given by Miss Elizabeth A. Hall, faculty sponsor of Pan-Hellenic Association at Teachers college and Miss Eleanor Johnson, president of the chapter. Arrangements for the dinner are in charge of Miss Irene Nelson, Miss Garnett Davis and Miss Mary Elizabeth Shultz. Decorations have been planned by Miss Charlene Jackson and Miss Alice Munson. Pi Kappa Sigma sorority was founded at Michigan State Teachers college, Ypsilanti, Mich., In 1891. It Is the fourth national educational sorority to establish a chapter at Teacher’s college. The local chapter is its twenty-seventh. Alumnae members of the local group from all parts of the state will Join in the organization with active members Sunday.
Bride-Elect Is Honor Guest at Luncheon Bridge Miss Marie Margaret Ahrens, whose marriage to Dr. Thomas Martin Leonard will be solemnized at SS. Peter and Paul cathedral this month, was the honor guest at a luncheon-bridge party and linen shower given today at the Columbia Club by Miss Katherine Leonard, Misa Helen Leonard and Miss Lenore Leonard. Guests were seated at one long table, centered with a plateau of chrysanthemums in the bridal colors, white and shades of yellow. Tall yellow tapers, tied with yellow and orange tulle, lighted the room. All other appointments were in the bridal shades. Gueet with Miss Ahrens included Mrs. Herman J. STUDENT ARTISTS TO ATTEND PARTY
Sixty-six stucent artists studying under the direction of Elmer E. Taflinger, and their friends will hold a costume party and dance tonight at their studio, 46 North Pennsylvania street. Alpha Omicron Pi Founder to Be Guest at Chapter Dinner
Miss Elizabeth Heywood Wyman, Englewood, N. J., founder and grand president of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, will be the honor guest at a dinner to be given at 6:30 tonight in the blue room of the Spink-Arms hotel by members of the Indianapolis Alumnae chapter. The table will be decorated with red roses and lighted with red tapers in crystal holders. Place cards and favors will be in red, the sorority color. Mrs. C. C. Trueblood, president of the alumnae chapter, will introduce Miss Wyman, who will give a snort talk. Mrs. Trueblood will preside at the ritual service and business meeting following the dinj ner. Miss Shoup to Make Writers Club Address
“Convention and Revolt in Poetry,” will be the subject of a talk to be given by Miss Grace Shoup, teacher of literature and journalism at Shortridge high school, before members of the Writers’ Club at 8 Tuesday night at the Y. W. C. A. Miss Shoup also will read several original poems. Harry E. Wood, director of vocational education and manual training in the Indianapolis schools, will give a’talk on “Designing and Building a Book.” Mr. Wood has had several books published and a number of his articles have appeared in various magazines. He will use as illustrative material the dummy and other things used in the preparation of his own books. Members may bring guests. Hold Bazar and Sale A bazrr and sale of fancy work will be held by the Danish Ladies’ Aid Society at 2 o’clock Wednesday at the Seventh Presbyterian church, Elm and Cedar streets.

Exhibit of American Sculpture Opens at French Lick Hotel
French Lick Springs took its place as an art center this week with the opening Friday of the American sculpture exhibition, to continue until Nov. 10, when it will be moved to a Pittsburgh art gallery. About 150 pieces are on display, creations of the foremost American sculptors, both men and women. The exhibition is sponsored by Miss Lucy Taggart, Indianapolis and New York, painter, the daughter of the late Senator Taggart. It is the first of a series of art displays at French Lick Springs. The Halloween festivities featured the social calendar of the week at the Springs. A dance was held in the hotel lobby, decorated for the eve of Ail Saints day, and there were many dinner parties at the hotel, the Golf and Country Club, ’the Gorge Inn. the Elite Club, and the Hoosier Club. ‘Sea Chest ’ to Be Open Three Days "The Sea Captain's Cheat,” an Oriental gift shop being sponsored by the Indianapolis Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, will be open for three days, Nov. 9, 11 and 12 at the Splnk-Arm* hotel. Miss Mary Brown Hunter, Seattle, will show oriental jewelry, tapestries and costumes. The shop is being held for the benefit of the students’ aid fund. Mrs. George M. Losey is general chairman in charge of the event. Tea will be served Saturday, the first day of the exhibit. Mrs. James B. Nelson, Mrs. William M.
