SCOTTISH RITE INITIATES AGAIN IN DECEMBER Second-Class of 500 Will Take Work During Convocation. With practically half of the 500 candidates In the first dedication class of the Scottish Bite, Valley of Indianapolis, already through the ceremonies, Scottish Rite Masons are turning their eyes toward initiation of the large convocation class in December. Another class of 500 candidates is expected at that time, which will make approximately 1.000 new members in the order. Master Masons In the fifty-two counties of the Indianapolis jurisdiction are helping prepare for the December class, membership chairman, and David Martin L. Koons. Newcastle, state C. Pyke, Marion county chairman, have reported increasing Interest in the ceremonies, set for Dec. 2 to 5. Degrees Are Conferred Fifteenth and sixteenth degrees were conferred on candidates in the first section last Wednesday night, under direction of Saraiah council. Princes of Jerusalem. Exemplification of degrees, with new’ and modem stage facilities, is said to be without parallel in the northern Jurisdiction. The enlarged choir. K. C. COUNCIL TO HONOR MEMBER 8,000 Members Inducted by Albert Kocher. B.u Timet Special WASHINGTON, Ind., Oct. 21. Washington council, Knights of Columbus, is preparing for one of the largest celebrations ever undertaken by an Indiana council in honor of a member, scheduled for the Thanksgiving season. The council will honor Albert Kocher, who has led the Washington degree team in 120 initiations in which 8,000 men were Inducted into the order. Supreme Knight Carmody is completing arrangements and will announce the exact date In a few days. All of the state officers, members of the Gibault home commission and district deputies, will receive special invitations to attend. Councils in all states, where Kocher assisted in exemplifying degrees, probably will send delegations. Plans are for initiation of a class of 150 candidates. The day will be featured by a turkey dinner.

CITY MAN IS SPEAKER Edward S. Schaub Addresses V. F. W. Post at Ft. Wayne. By Times Special FT. WAYNE, Oct. 21.—Edward G. Schaub, Indianapolis, state commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, delivered the welcoming address at a reception at the Jim Ebv post here, Saturday night. The reception was in honor of Admiral William Shepard Benson of the United States navy, prominent in naval operations during the World War. The toastmaster, the Rev. Louis N.
