TWIN HULL IN SHIP DESIGNED TO GIVESAFETY Inventor Provides Double Wail to Prevent Big Sea Disasters. Bv United Press PORTLAND, Ore., Oct 18.—An invention designed to prevent ship disasters such as the Vestris, San Juan, Titanic and many others, has been perfected by J. F. Duthie, veteran model ship builder of Portland. He has constructed a ship model, scaled to represent a freighter of 20.000 tons displacement. It has a twin-hull, which would assure safety to those on board until the vessel has reached its destination. There is an air space of twenty feet between the two hulls. Within the inner and outer waUs are bulkheads. Cargo can be stored in the air chambers. Should the ship be rammed, only the outer hull would be wrecked, according to Duthie. “There is enough buoyancy in the ship to hold it up, no matter where wounded,” Duthie declared. Duthie is not sure when the public wiU demand safety in its ships, but he is confident that the principle for which he holds a patent will be recognized and adopted In time. He came to the United States In the early 90s to build the first torpedo boats fabricated in this country for the government. After the Titanic disaster in 1913, he turned his attentions to the construction of an unsinkable ship.

“KONJOLA ONLY MEDICINE THAT DID ANY GOOD” Indianapolis Man Freed of Stomach, Liver and Kidney Troubles Praises New Compound. Many of the recoveries brought about by Konjola, the new and different medicine, would challenge belief were the actual facts not known and verified. MR. WILLIAM COX Photo by National Studio, Illinois Bldg. this super-remedy and that Is that Konjola makes good in those stubborn cases that have defied and resisted all other medicines and treatments tried. Every sufferer wants results and Konjola can be counted on for results. All who put their money, their faith and their hope for health in a medicine are entitled to the facts about that medicine. Get the facts about Konjola. Call on the Konjola Man, who is at the Hook Dependable Drug Store, Illinois and Washington streets, Indianapolis, where daily he is meeting all those who come to learn what Konjola means to them in their search for htealth. But do not expect promises, claims or empty phrases for he will tell you only the true, verified facts about this new medicine. He will tell you of case after case like that of Mr. William Cox, 1204 Perry avenue, Indianapolis, who made the following statement a few days ago: “Konjola was the only medicine that did any good. I am glad to recommend this medicine to every sufferer for what It did for me It will do for others. Two years ago I was afflicted with three ailments; stomach, liver and kidney troubles. From that time on I rapidly failed in health. Medicines and treatments were of no aval? for I failed to get the slightest relief. Meals caused more distress than they did good. I constantly suffered from dizzy spells when black spots appeared before my eyes. Weakness of my kidneys forced me to rise many times a night and during the day my back ached dreadfully. 1 was in a pitiful condition when I first heard about Konjola. “One day a friend recommended Konjola to me. But I had little or no faith in this, or any medicine, and did not pay much attention to the things said about Konjola. But my friends insisted, stating that It was a different medicine; that it was exactly what I always needed. So I consented to find out what It would do for me. Now my only regret is that I didn’t take It sooner. Konjola went right to work; I could almost feel it. Daily the Improvement became more noticeable. Finally my digestion was restored, my liver was regulated and my kidneys were strengthened. Today there isn’t a trace of those allmente and I am eating, sleeping and feeling like a different person. No wonder I am so enthusiastic about Konjola.” And so it goes; the same splendid story of success wherever Konjola Is known and given the chance to prove Its merits. Konjola Is, Indeed, a medicine of deeds, not words. The Konjola Man Is at the Hot* Dependable Drug Store, Illinois and Washington streets. Indianapolis, where he Is meeting the public daily.
