City Girl to Be Bride in Home Rites Mis* Hazel Ruth Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Brown of Fenton avenue, will become the bride of Samuel J. Campbell, son of Mrs. Cora B. Campbell, Finley, Ind.. at 4 Sundav afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents. The service will be read by the Rev. Bert A. Johnson, pastor of the Downey Avenue Christian church, before an Improvised altar of palms and ferns, lighted with four carthedral candles in single standards. Baskets of orchid and pink fall flowers will be used throughout the house. Mrs. R. M, Bloomer, pianist, will play a program of bridal airs preceding the ceremony, including “At Dawning” and “I Love You Truly.” She will play “The Bridal Chorus” from Lohrengrin for the processional and Mendelssohn’s ‘ Wedding March" for the recessional. Mrs. Theodore Huff will be matron of honor. She will wear an orchid georgette made with fitted bodice with lace Bertha collar and full skirt with uneven hemline. She will carry an arm bouquet of pink rosebuds. * Fred Rouse will be best man. Little Mary Anne Kinney and Patrick Kinney, cousins of the bride, will be flower girl and ringbearer. The flower girl will year pink crepe and carry a French basket of rose petals. The ringbearer will w r ear w’hite satin suit and carry the ring In a lily. The bride, who will be given in marriage by her father, will wear a white flat crepe hand-embroidered gown, made with fitted bodice, long tight sleeves and Bertha collar, and long full skirt. She will carry white roses and lilies of the valley. Following the ceremony, a reception will be given for wedding guests. The couple will go east on a motor trip, the bride traveling in a blue ensemble with accessories to match. They will be at home on Fenton avenue after Nov. 1 Miss Brown attended Butler university. The annual fall rush party of the Danzarite Club will be held Wednesday night at the Lumley tearoom, 1540 North Meridian street. High School Girl Reserves in Conference All high school Girl Reserves in the city met in conference at the Y. W. C. A. this week-end. Friday night the opening banquet was presided over by Miss Mary Frances Litton, president of the council. Reports were made by the following girls who attended the summer conference at Camp Gray: Misses Litten, Lura Sommers, Virginia Miller, Marjorie Bell, Ethel Smith, Pauline Baldwin. Following the dinner each high school club gave a stunt and these were followed by 8i song fest. Today the conference opened with a discussionn on “Methods of Club Work.” led by Miss Jenna Birks, executive secretary of Girl Reserves. Part of the morning was devoted to individual club conferences at which plans for the year were made. Mrs. Carrie Ada Campbell, new general secretary of the Y. W. C. A., was the special guest at luncheon and following luncheon an interclub council was held to set the dates for special inter-club occasions. The day’s program closed with an impressive ceremonial written by Miss Elizabeth Hughes.

Parties Are Increasing at Springs Society at French Lick Springs was spirited this week with the functions incident to the National Freight Traffic Golf Association during the first of the week and those of the Great Lakes Division. N. E. L. A., during the latter part. Parties were held at the Springs hotel, the Golf and Country Club, the Gorge inn and the Hoosier Club. Some elaborate functions are scheduled next week with the gathering of the National Wholesale Druggists’ Association, which many Indianapolis persons. connected with the drug trade, will attend. The druggists convention opens with a concert in the Springs hotel lobby Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Schiesz of Indianapolis have been at the Springs hotel for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace O. liee, also of Indianapolis, attended the electric light convention this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dr. A. H. Harrell of French Lick Springs have returned after a month’s vacation on the Pacific coast. Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wagner of Indianapolis have been guests of the Springs hotel. Mr. and Mrs. James L. Cook of Indianapolis have been enjoying an outing at the springs, as have Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Wallace of Terre Haute. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Kroeger and Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Phelps of Anderson have been guests this week at the Springs hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Victor of Evansville, formerly of Indianapolis, have been at the Springs hotel with Indianapolis friends. William Stokes, secretary of the Indiana Electric Light Association, spent the week in conference with officials of the National Electric Light Association.
City Couple Is Manied at Church Woodruff Place Baptist church was the scene at 3:30 this afternoon of the wedding of Miss Nellie Naomi Pease, daughter of Mrs. Lulu D. .Pease, 911 North Jefferson avenue, to Charles Hardin Turner, son of Charles C. Turner, Bloomington. The Rev. L. C. Trent, pastor, read the service before members of the immediate families and a group of close friends. The altar was decorated with baskets of dahlias, asters and ferns. During the reading of the service, Miss Wilda Swango, pianist, played “I Love You Truly,” and “Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life.” Mrs. Joseph E. Swango was the bride’s only attendant. She wore a dark blue crepe frock trimmed with ecru lace, with blue accessories to match. She carried a bouquet of Butterfly roses. Joseph E. Swango was best man. The bride wore a black transparent velvet gown, black suede slippers trimmed with lizard and a black soliel hat. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and lilies of the valley. Immediately following the ceremony, the couple left for a motor trip through southern Indiana. They will be at home after Oct. 15 at 5254 West Fourteenth street.
MU PHI EPSILON IN MOZART PROGRAM
Indianapolis alumnae club of Mu Phi Epsilon, national honorary musical sorority, will open its season with a program Wednesday night at the home of Miss Mabel Rose, Marott hotel. A buffet supper will be served at 6 o’clock. The hostess will be assisted by Mrs. Inez Cleave McNutt and Mrs. Asel Spellman Stitt. Mrs. John A. Sink has arranged the following program of Mozart music: “Biograph,” by Mrs. Sink; “Alphabet,” Mrs. Lutle O.
