Dr. Arthur Joseph Cramp, Chicago, director of the bureau of investigation of the American Medical Association, will speak on “Mrs. Gullible’s Travels in Cosmetic Land.” Mrs. F. W. Creagor, Indianapolis, vice-president of the Women's Auxiliary to the American Medical Association, will speak on the “Portland Session.” Mrs. Creagor’s talk will be concerned with the national convention of A. M. A., held in July in Portland, Ore.

Expect 200 at Meeting of Alt r usas Two hundred delegates are expected to attend the state convention of National Association of Altrusa Clubs which will be held in Richmond. Sept. 28 and 29. It will be one of the largest sessions in the history of the state. The formal business meeting will open at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, at which session officers for the coming year will be elected. Budget requirements, club extension and program activities will be up for discussion at this session. A banquet will be served in the Richmond-Leland hotel, headquarters for the convention. William Dudley Foulke will introduce William Cullen Dennis, president of Earlham college, who has reserved for this occasion his first public address since assuming the presidency. Special guests at the banquet will be Mrs. William Cullen Dennis, Mrs. William Dudley Foulke, Miss Elizabeth (%erbeck and Miss Mary Overbeck, Cambridge City; Miss Sarah Hill, and the newly elected officers of the state organization. The speakers’ table was decorated with a plateau of American Beauty roses and lighted with tapers in crystal holders. American Beauty roses, the club flower, also were used to mark each place. Mrs. Monroe McKittrick played a group of piano numbers while guests were assembling. Mrs. Alex Goodwin, program chairman, introduced Mrs. Albert H. Johnson, retiring president, who gave a greeting and reviewed the last year’s work. She presented the gavel to Mrs. Rufus O’Harrow, new president, who outlined the coming year’s program. Corsages were presented to both presidents. Mrs. Charles Wright and Mrs. Jeanette Wells made the presentation speeches. Mrs. J. A. Duncan sang, accompanied by Miss Edith Loftin. The Rev. Fred A. Line, pastor of Central Universalist church, was the principal speaker. He talked on “Friendship.” Mrs. Walker Baylor sang a group of songs. Mrs, J. G. Martin gave several readings. Honor guests included Mrs. David Ross, president of the Indorsers of Photoplays: Mrs. A. B. Glick of the Indianapolis Council of Women; Mrs. M. H. Busette, Philadelphia, guest of Mrs. William H. Blodgett; Mrs. Frederick Bretthaeur, Anderson. Other guests were Mrs. D. S. Spoon, Mrs. William H. Ferry, Mrs. George Hawlins, Mrs. John Cochran, Mrs. Lloyd Grimes, Mrs. Hugh Schubder, Mrs. 11. W. Bates, Mrs. T. N. Denham and Mrs. E. E. Krutsinger. Mrs. John Larison was chairman in charge of the hmcheon, assisted by Mrs. Hattie R. Brown, Mrs. McKittrick, Mrs. E. J. Molin, Mrs. Frank Castor and Mrs. A. A. Wright.

OTTO FIFIELD TALKS TO WOMAN'S CLUB

Woman’s Republican Club will give a luncheon meeting Thursday noon at the Columbia Club with Otto Fifield as guest speaker.
