WORK OF CITY FIREFIGHTERS IS COMMENDED Reduction of Insurance Rates Declared Boom to Indianapolis. Recent reduction in fire insurance rates should serve as an incentive to bring additional factories and business firms to Indianapolis, Fred W. Connell, safety board president, declared today. Insurance companies recently announced reductions of approximately 20 per cent in fire insurance rates, amounting to a saving of about 81,000,000 annually in Indian*, it was estimated. Low fire losses in Indiana made possible the reduction, it was said. "We have kept faith with the underwriters and co-operated to meet their recommendations for a better fire department in Indianapolis,'* Connell said. The Indianapolis rate is the lowest for any city the same size in the country, Connell said. "We also kept the promise of other administrations in rebuilding tlie fire drill tower, providing the proper amount of reserve hose and purchasing sufficient reserve apparatus," Connell pointed out. Yon have a Doctors M Word for t**
IN 1875, an earnest young man began to practice medicine. As a family doctor, he treated many cases of constipation. He spon saw the harm in common purges and began to seek something better. Out of his experience was born a famous prescription now in wide use. This prescription was written thousands of times. It proved an ideal laxative for old and young. Children like its pleasant taste. Older people like it because it doesn’t gripe or cause discomfort. It is a mixture of fresh herbs
and other pure ingredients; thoroughly effective for the most robust of men. Stimulates the normal muscular action of the bowels. So its use will not become a habit. As people saw how marvel-

ously the most sluggish bowels are started and bad breath, headaches, biliousness, feverishness, or no energy, poor appetite, etc., are relieved by Dr. Caldwell’s prescription, it became necessary to put it up ready for use. Today, Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin, as it is called, is the vfcrld’s most popular laxative. All drug stores have the generous bottles. The product never varies from Dr. Caldwell’s original formula. So you can take it with confidence or give it to the youngest child.
