Golden Forest, was breaking up today on the north shore of Shelikof straits, near Katrnai volcano, where she grounded Sept. 5. The wrecked freighter carries a crew of thirty-seven. Salvage ships standing by are believed to have transferred some of the crew, but how many is not known. The vessel is rated a total loss.
