Many Parties Planned for Bride-to-Be A number of parties are being planned in honor of Miss Elizabeth Chamberlain Moore, whose marriage to Paul Bernard Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hoffman, Lagrange, 111., will take place Friday. First of the series of parties for the bridal party will be given Monday night, when Miss Moore’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. William Allen Moore, will entertain with a dinner party at the Country Club of Indianapolis. Tuesday noon, Miss Elise Martin and Miss Louise Goepper will give a luncheon for Miss Moore’s bridesmaids at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. Tuesday night Miss Francis Hamilton, Woodstock drive, will give a dinner for members of the bridal party. Miss Cornelia Dowling, 1356 Washington boulevard, will enterain with a bridesmaids' and ushers’ luncheon at her home Wednesday at 1 o'clock. Wednesday night, Mr. Hoffman will give a stag party for ''is attendants and Miss Hope Ffafflin will give a dinner at the Propylaeum for Miss Moore and her bridesmaids. Miss Betty Lee Burns, 4205 Washington boulevard, will entertain with \ a breakfast bridge party at her home Thursday in honor of the bride-elect and her attendants. Thursday night, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Cameron Moore, 1821 North Pennsylvania street, will entertain, with a bridal dinner at the Woodstock Club in honor of their daughter and her fiance. The wedding will take place at 5:30 Friday afternoon at the First Baptist church. Following the ceremony a dinner will be given at thp Propylaeum for members of the bridal party, the families, out-of-town guests and intimate friends.

Miss Rosamond Van Camp entertained with a tea Friday afternoon fiom 4 to 6 o’clock in honor of Miss Jane Ogborn, who will leave soon for New Haven, Conn., where she will enter the drama school of Yale ■university. R., national and state officers, chairmen of state committees, chapter regents and viceregents, have been mailed to officials of eighty-six chapters by the state recording secretary, Mrs. Roy A. Club Chief to Be Guest at Conclave Miss Marion McClench. Ann Arbor Mich., recently elected president of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, will be the guest of honor at the second annual tri-state federation house party this week-end. over Labor day. at Potawatomi inh, Pokagon State park. Lake James. Guests will be arriving all day today from all over Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. Several hundred members of the organization are expected to attend. This will be the first large federation gathering at which Miss McClench has appeared since her election July 8. at Mackinac Island, Mich. Members of the Steuben county club will be hostess to the national leader during her stay. Other prominent women who will attend the three-day fete are Mrs. Bonnie K. Robertson, Hammond, president, of the Indiana federation; Mrs. Anna D. Stare, president of the Ohio federation; Miss Jennie Rac Hersch. Miss Farmer and Miss Ruth Robertson, has issued a year book with miscellaneous programs for ten meetings and a memorial service. nan Two contests have been arranged to stimulate interest in an extensive program of historical research for 1929-1931 outlined by Mrs. Flora Myers Gillentine, historian 'general. A prize of SIOO is offered to the state presenting by Jan. 1, 1931, the mast complete and best organized bibliography on the Revolutionary war period. A second prize of SSO is offered to the state ginning second place. Believing that few adequate studies have been made of "Contributions of Women to the American Revolution,” and a few materials relating to the subject have been presented to the general public, Mrs. Gillentine has recommended that chapter members be urged to writ* such articles containing not more than 700 words. Articles are to be submitted to | the state historian, who will submit i them to a committee selected by her with the approval of the state regent. Each state may submit its l two best papers to the historian general for final selection by a commit* ! tee for publication in the organization magazine. Miss Laura D. Henderson, Logansport. state historian, will have charge of the Indiana entries.
