City Couple Wed Tonight at Church At 8 o’clock tonight, at the First Presbyterian church. Miss Lelah Clementine Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wright, 2246 Ashland avenue, will become the bride of Addison McCage Dowling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Dowling, 3556 Washington boulevard. The service will be read by the Pev. George Arthur Frantz, before an altar banked with palms and ferns and lighted with two sevenbranch candelabra. While the guests are being seated by the ushers, John A. Bruhn, Winship Callaghan, Frank Trumbull Sisson. Charles M. Wells, and Robert Smith. Anderson, Mrs. J. A. Hood, organist, will play “To a Wild Rose.’’ “Pale Hands” and “Venetian Love Song.” During the ceremony she will play “Liebestraum.” the bridal chorus from “Lohengrin” will be used for the processional and Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March”-for the recessional. Miss Sarah Sisson, soloist, will ting “Oh. Promise Me,” “My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice,” and “Omega Toast,” the Delta Gamma sorority song. At the close of the ceremony, she will sing “Because.” Sister Matron of Honor Mrs. William Craigle. sister of the bride, will be matron of honor. She will wear rose coral satin, made with a long fitted basque with U shape decolletage and long full skirt with uneven hemline, made with godets. She will wear silver slippers and carry a bouquet of Premier rases. She will wear a Chanel crystal necklace, the gift of the bride. Miss Helen Louise Dodds, maid of honor, will wear a flesh moire gown made with long basque waist. Tire skirt will be made with two diagonal flounces hanging to the floor on the right side, with a bustle effect on the left, caught with a velvet bow of deeper shade underneath, with streamers to the hemline. She will wear flesh moire .'Uppers and carry a bouquet of Premier roses. She also will wear an amethyst necklace set in sterling j silver and marquiset, the gift of the bride. The bridesmaids' dresses will be fashioned the same as that of Miss Dodds. They will be made of corded taffeta, shading from eggshell to deep rose. Brother is Best Man Miss Virginia Lucas will wear eggshell, with satin slippers to match. Miss Cornelia Dowling will wear cherub corded taffeta and satin slippers to match: Miss Harriett Adams, rose soiree, and Miss Emily Mauzy, deep rose. All will carry arm bouquets of gladioli in shades contrasting with their gowns. Alexander's. Downing, Belmont, Mass., brother of the bridegroom, will be best man. Miss Wright will be given in marriage by her brother. Dr. J. William Wright. She will wear a gown of white satin made with long fitted basque, with a deep U-shaped neckline, joined to the shirred skirt with scallops. It has a Queen Anne collar of rose point lace and long tight sleeves with insets of lace. The long full skirt has a scalloped hemline. A cape effect of tulle will be fastened to the collar in the back. She will wear a cluster of orange blossoms at jhe back of her hair and earn - a shower bouquet of Bride's roses, lilies of the valley and .Baby’s breath tied with smilax. Mrs. Wright will wear a violet georgette gown and Mrs. Dowling periwinkle lace. Both will wear shoulder corsages of pale pink roses. Leave for Detroit The couple will leave immediately after the ceremony for Detroit, the bride traveling in an ensemble o? tan broadcloth with eggshell satin tuck-in blouse, snakeskin shoes, and brown accessories. They will be at home after Sept. 3 at 1907 North Delaware street. Miss Wright attended Butler university, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Mr. Dowling was graduated from De Pauw university, and is attending Indiana University Law school. He is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Among out-of-town guests will be Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Blake F. Wright, Detroit. At the bridal dinner Friday night. Miss Wright presented her bridesmaids and Miss Sisson with handpainted evening scarfs. Mr. Dowling gave his attendants ostrich leather billfolds.
NEW OFFICERS WILL BE INSTALLED SUNDAY
Installation of new officers and workers for the Women's Bible class of the Third Christian church will take place at 9:30 Sunday morning in the main auditorium of the church. Service will be conducted by E. 8. Cummings, superintendent of the Bible school. Officers to be installed are: President, Mrs. L. A.
