CIRCLE ROAD ABOUT CITY IS BROKERS PLAN Highway Commission to Study Circumurban Road Proposal. A circumurban highway that would relieve traffic congestion in Tndianapolis by routing tourists around the city was proposed today to the state highway commission by Gavin Payne, Indianapolis broker. A dozen delegations from various Indiana points asked for roads in their localities, and John J. Brown, highway director, announced that the commission plans 865 miles of ■paving in 1930. including many of the requests. Outlines Road The northern road of the circumurban highway, running east and west would be along Eighty-sixth street; and southern east and west road would be from Valley Mills east to the Ft. Harrison post road. The eastern road would be the post road, and the western the High School road passing the airport to Valley Mills. The commission declared it would consider the proposal. Congressman Fred S. Purnell, of Attica, headed a delegation asking that State Road 28 be paved from Attica to Alexandria. Already Included He was told this road, as an eastwest arterial road, is already included in the state system and will be considered for paving. The commission was asked to cut a road directly north from La Porte to the Michigan state line in order t.o help the routing of traffic off 29 and 2, which form a dangerous bottle neck. Investigation was promised. WORKMAN CRUSHED TO DEA.JH UNDER WHEEL H. A. Miller Dies of Fractured Skull Burial in Memorial Park. Funeral services will be held Thursday for Homer A.
