Although the French foreign minister. Aristide Briand, was said in the reports to have beer, the sole sponsor of the projects, it was declared in many quarters here that Premier Raymond Poincare ready is behind the move and that Briand merely is the premier’s mouthpiece. It was pointed out that Briand long has been Poincare's subordinate in
the conduct of France's foreign policy. The Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. which in the past has frequently acted as the mouthpiece for Dr. Gustav Stressemann, declared that the new project merely is intended to improve Premier Poincare's reputation as a counciliation statesman by presenting the French policy as the panacea for European ills. July 12.—Raymond Garza saved his grocery store from being robbed by having a toothache. Gaarza, who lives over the store, got up to doctor his pain. Turning on the light, he heard a car drive away. The next morning he discovered a plate glass window had been removed by robbers, but they had evidently been frightened by Garza's arousal. Nothing was missing.
