| 'TEAM WORK 1 URGED Only Way to Aid Farmers, Says Secretary Hyde. j fill l nitrd Press ATLANTA, Ga.. July 4.—Success of the farm relief bili depends on "team work” between the farm board and farm co-operatives, Arthur M. Hyde, secretary of agri- ’ culture, said in an address here today. He held out little hope for immediate relief. The general answer to farm problems is organization, he told the National Education Association, which is closing its annual convention today. "Organization is needed to control i marketing, to standardize output, to eliminate waste and duplication of a marketing and distributing system which generally speaking absorbs $2 for every $1 it returns to the farmer.'’ the secretary said. SERVES MEALS FOR 15 YEARS AT 20 CENTS Economic Upheavals Never Have Changed Price of City Jail Fare. For fifteen years Mrs. Susie Fisher. 320 East Pearl street, has been ‘ seving meals to inmates of the city I jail. Each month she turns in her requisition to the city purchasing bureau with an average of 1.800 meals each month at 20 cents a meal. Economic upheavals have never ; changed the price of Mrs. Fisher's menu; war. prohibition, high cost of living have not affected the threemeal a day routine of the jail-house chef. Theories that extreme cold weather cause excess of crime break down according to Mrs. Fisher's record of meals served, as every month from December to June show an equal number of ‘■guests” to feed. Oo —and Ugh Certain items listed in the requisitions of the city hospital for supplies, in the office of Joel Baker, city purchasing agent, w r ould terrorize any one anticipating a visit to that institution.
